legit didn't even know that gum grafts were a thing. i always thought that once the gums were gone, you were forgeted

i had a bone graft because a tumor ate my skull  :cookieMonster:.

im sure what OP had done was they took a sample of his gums, grew it in a petri dish, and stitched that stuff in place. for me it was years of operations to get the tumor to be at a good size to scoop out, bone graft, wait for that to heal for another 3 years, get the screws out.

question for OP: what meds you on? you on any opiates, or are you avoiding those at all costs? for my other operations i've got hydros in the past but recently my screw removal was tylenol-3.

Off Topic / Re: Did anyone else join the forums relatively young?

i joined when i was 12, now i'm on the verge of turning 23. since i haven't seen any 2008 era blocklanders in this thread i'll try to sum up this experience in the quickest way possible.

when i originally joined i thought i'd only be on here for like a few months or so, but goddamn the community really kept this game and forum strong. hell, a year later after i joined all of my stuff got hacked. that didn't stop me then as a 13 year old kid either, i still loved this place and i still do. as of now, i've met 4 of you in person (sorry pablo, i hope i can get back to you soon!) and i have no idea how the forget i went from "meeting people from the internet is a bad thing" to "these people are my friends but i've never met them in person". seriously, it's crazy. just recently i met sirherg1 right before new years and we had a blast going around chicago in the freezing cold. it just reminds me how powerful this place was and i never thought this place would seriously change my life for the good.

like seriously, if someone made a time machine, came into my room when i begged my mom for this game and told me all of this, i'd literally think that person is crazy. hell, especially with mack and his band stuff, i never thought that would happen either.

last year for me it was just solely focusing on getting my stuff together. i had no car, stuff friends, and a stuff job. now i'm on my 2nd car, those stuff friends are gone, and i have a new job i actually enjoy.

this year it will be:
quit smoking

and laying off alcohol. i got severely stufffaced at the christmas party without even drinking to that level. i don't know why this seems to happen but it happens, but recently i noticed i've been drinking way too much recently and honestly it's loving boring and lame. same with cigs, i used to vape but it seemed to enable me to intake more nicotine than i should be.

i also want to go back to school at some point but with my job potentially moving me up i might not go back, we'll see.

lol

oh stuff son, too bad i'm not in that area of illinois. however i do live REALLY close to this. i was driving by it the other night and i'm like oh boy time to get cancer.

regarding the whole JB Pritzker stuff: i didn't want him at all to be governor, but i also didn't want Bruce Rauner to be either. my primary chocie, Daniel Biss, was my 100% pick for the democratic ticket. same stuff what JB wants to do (SORT OF) but he isn't a billionaire, and actually is a state senator that actually has political experience.

the fear the conservatives and i feel about JB is that he will raise the stuff out of property taxes and other stupid bullstuff taxes. hell, there was a rumor saying JB wants to tax peoples' cars by the mile. however, he also want to legalize weed in illinois, which in my own eyes could be a huge tax money maker. a stuff ton of people smoke weed around here, plus the cops don't give a forget anymore about it. hell, illinois law doesn't jail you either for possession, it's just a local ordinance ticket. medical is already legal so we'll see how it goes comes next month when JB is actually the new governor.

I'll stick with Windows until ReactOS is complete or Steam's custom WINE mod is fully functional.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU USE REACTOS?!?! my god. that stuff's old.

just get a VM and test out ubuntu + steam + steam play. is it glitchy? yes. does it work? yes.

i got fed up with win10 twice this year, once earlier this year after giving me a BSOD and stuffting itself, and the other time when i pressed win + tab and saw that MS is basically tracking what apps you use from them. i'm now a proud arch user :).

How to get a good windows OS:

1. Downgrade or upgrade to windows 7 8.1

If it doesn't install correctly please repeat step 1.

i fixed your quote  :cookieMonster:. 8.1 is the best if you're gonna downgrade.

It's pretty cool but it's so normal like they're just regular ass people lol. People will be like 'wow you met x person that's so cool!' and think it's crazy because they're so talented but everyone who is an artist is talented in some way. The difference in popularity between someone with 10 SoundCloud likes and Katy Perry is enormous but the difference in talent is nonexistent- everyone is talented and everyone has the potential to totally rock, and people like Dizzy and Post prove this

if you looked on royal mountain's site (their label), they're on the same label as Mac Demarco (katie and charlie met them at a show), Calpurnia (they all met and saw calpurnia play in NYC), and PUP (ditto sort of). mack's got some stuff lmao.

https://youtu.be/h4oIUHy5qSA - swim (rak session)

ok so the backstory on swim is nuts too, all because i sort of inspired it. when dizzy toured in america for the first time, they had a 3 day stay here in chicago. we all chilled n stuff, but mack recorded some of the waves sounds by loyla's campus right on the beach of lake michigan. iirc that sample is in the final mix.

this video tho is literally the space radiohead recorded "high and dry" and some adelle stuff too (i think some of 21 was recorded there?). there's some beats one radio interviews floating around i haven't seen either.

forget it im double posting.

i thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiink my copy of the vinyl comes tomorrow. i need IRL pics in this thread bc mack hasn't shown me the real thing yet.
