Off Topic / Ethernet Connection Issues

So I don't feel like finding some random tech support forum when I know some of you guys know what you;re doing.
My tower feels the need to drop it's Ethernet connection for a few seconds every hour or so, after it gets dropped it automatically comes back. I have already tried updating my drivers and changing out the cable for a new one. And while my tower drops connection, no other computer in my house drops.
Any other suggestions?

Not gay kings.
Two Kings where they tried to kill each other a lot through assassinations, but they constantly outsmarted each other and instead of being mad, they were like "Oh you!"
Was there something like this between to actual Kings or royal houses?

Off Topic / No Network Adapters... ANYWHERE

Keep in mind, it had wifi before all of this occurred.
So I recently came into possession of a laptop from a friend, I re-installed Windows 7 to get rid of everything and clear the slate. After the installation I found that I had no wifi, I'm like "wtf". So I go into Network and Sharing Center->Change Adapter Settings, there weren't any adapters. Again, wtf. So then I go to device manager with the same result, no "Network Adapters" category in there anywhere. So now I am a complete and total loving loss and screaming What the forget because what the forget is wrong.
I also have an ethernet cord plugged into it right now and still no internet or anything. It doesn't recognize that the loving cord is plugged in.

I really liked Jorgur's/Nitramtj's server and since they are having trouble I decided that I would host one for a little bit. I have the same factions plugin that Jorgur was using, I'm not sure if he was using any other plugins. The server uses 1gb of RAM, I can raise it to 2gb if the need arises.
Funny story, I didn't fix the problem. I just circumvented it by using the new computer to play Minecraft instead of my laptop. Working out well I think.

I will work on the permission system... eventually. For now, however, the only commands accessible are the commands listed under "/f help" Unless someone feels like doing them for me.......?? PM me if you are willing
