btw that early win7 support drop

It wasn't early, it was exactly on time.

This is the standard life cycle for a Windows release.

Microsoft will offer Mainstream Support for either a minimum of 5 years from the date of a product’s general availability, or for 2 years after the successor product (N+1) is released, whichever is longer.

Hmm... I can sort of see your point, but would you mind telling me why it is absurd? I mean are allowed to know what they're eating right?

Because it's the same thing, with different beneficial traits. Genetic modification does in one generation that which would take dozens with artificial selection; the end result is exactly the same. We've already been using artificial selection for humanity's entire history of food cultivation. This is just the next step in speeding up the process.

You wouldn't also expect food packages to be labeled with which traits were selected to reach the current product, would you? I mean, the "natural" and "organic" food we eat today would look like frankenfood (to use an anti-GMOer's favorite buzzword) compared to a thousand years ago. If the food is FDA approved, what's the problem?

Anyone think GMO's should still be labelled?

If a company wants to label it, go right ahead. But forcing a company to label it is completely absurd.

One of the best games I've seen in a very long time.
Cue the people acting like they've always been Seahawks fans and hopping on the bandwagon.

Blaming USPS cause you were too absent-minded to check your porch first? Brilliant.

The main issue isn't about her personally receiving death/rape threats.  The issue goes back further—gamers are upset that she accuses some video game developers for developing games that have loveist slurs, and for loveism within online gaming.  Both of these accusations have evidence both in GTA, and in the clip of Counterstrike that is presented.  In the former, the fact that the game allows this simply backs this up.  In the latter, this is seen commonly on online games—mind you, this is something that in any other medium is easily considered loveual harassment, and could stand effective in a court case.

The fuel for this issue was not solely personal threats on one individual, and it has pre-dated this issue.  Activists are using—and they commonly use—years of buildup to springboard their case.

The very basis of her argument is total bullstuff. She claims the fact that you can murder and run over prostitutes in GTAV loveism against women, but she completely disregards the fact that you can murder and run over ANYONE. Male or female.

She uses another example, Watch Dogs, and says women are murdered to give the player a reason to stop the criminal. She even tries to say this "reinforces the idea of women as loveual objects." loving what? Does she mention that men are also murdered in the same way? Of course not.

She has even claimed in the past that in Hitman Absolution, and this is an exact quote: "Players are meant to derive a perverse pleasure from desecrating the bodies of unsuspecting virtual female characters. It's a rush streaming from a carefully concocted mix of loveual arousal, connected to the act of controlling and punishing representations of female loveuality." I can't even handle how much absolute bullstuff this is. She is trying to claim that the game was designed for this sort of thing, when in reality, you're PENALIZED for killing civilians. You spend the entire game murdering men, but she focuses on one video of her dragging around a female corpse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuRSaLZidWI#t=150

She uses ridiculous made up examples of misogyny in video games to reach a completely reasonable goal. Everyone should get equality, but unfairly stuffting on the games industry is not how to do it.

"Justice attained through lies is not justice. We achieve true progress through rationality and treating each other like human beings." https://twitter.com/Totalbiscuit/status/555890518316445697

As pointed out by a redditor, that "armed escort" is loving campus security that she probably only hired for that segment. She's trying so hard to be important and it's a little sad.
