There's no reason that element alone should make or break a series. That goes back to "people don't like things, deal with it", doesn't it? This is me dealing with it. It makes no loving sense to me, so I'm questioning it.
(and forget you I'm still recommending Gargantia to you because the "mech" of that show is a character, straight up)
Don't ask me to explain why, but I can't get into the concept. I actually watch pretty few shows with unrealistic elements, so I'm not singling out mechs as the only fantastical concept I don't watch. It's not so much that I hate fantasy, cause I don't, but I tend towards things grounded in reality. Out of the 60 entries on my list, only 12 have some kind of supernatural or science fiction element.

If you already have something to use as a monitor and are willing to build a desktop, I found an extremely budget-oriented PC config on PCPartPicker that could probably run shaders just fine. And if you ever got more money in the future, you could upgrade the GPU yourself.

"Fair and Balanced" Fox News says in their ad that Dish is "censoring them". Pretty sure it's a contract dispute cause Fox wanted more money. They couldn't reach an agreement in time, and the existing contract expired.

Watch War in the Pocket or Gargantia.
But I don't want to. The existence of stupid giant robots is laughable to me. I don't enjoy watching robots flying around everywhere. I don't care if it's a good show that has giant robots or a good show about giant robots, I don't like giant loving robots.
Comes from personal experience.
And it's a generalization. The thing you supposedly hate so much.

...and that wouldn't change the fact that it doesn't matter. The common denominator in mech shows is mechs. That's not a generalization, it's a preference. The very concept of a giant fighting robot doesn't interest me.

Great, I say I don't like mech and you just assume I'm that guy that hates everything good. Not me though. I don't think I've ever outwardly expressed hate for any particular thing in anime.
Half of the people that don't like mech shows like stuffty anime, I was going to pop off on them regardless.

Thanks for the kind words you guys.
While I was sitting in the waiting room at the vet, a complete stranger came over and rubbed my back and gave me a hug. She talked with me about Leroy and told me about her cats, and it really made me feel better to have someone there to talk to.

I'm sorry and I know nobody cares, but I need somebody to talk to. I'm a mess right now and I don't know what to do. Last week on Tuesday I had to put down Sassy. She had be kind of sick for a while, but it go to the point where she wouldn't even get up to go to the cat box. She was more my sister's cat, so it was her decision, but it was the best for Sassy. Not eating and peeing on yourself is no life.
Then today, we had to do the same with her brother, Leroy. Leroy was my best friend in the world. It was a similar story for him. He started losing weight over the course of about a month, and then probably with the shock of losing his sister, he stopped eating completely. We tried taking him to the vet on Saturday to get him on a high calorie diet to put on weight, but it was no use. He couldn't even stand up because he was so weak, so we had to do it. Carrying him in to the vet's office was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I'll just have to take comfort in the fact that he's no longer suffering.
I'm going to miss him climbing into my lap while I drink my morning coffee. I'm going to miss to way he meowed at me when I was opening a can of tuna. I'm going to miss the way he hugged my face when I held him. I'm going to miss the way he looked at me when he laid on my chest when I was falling asleep. I miss you, buddy.

these were all on the first page, and they were answered with paragraphs and bible quotes.
I don't believe in god btw, i just think its stupid to give up faith because of this.
All of these are essentially just saying that there are miracles, and people just rationalize them because they don't have faith.
Pretty convenient that the only "miracles" that still occur are things that have rational explanations.
