To be honest, I can't really think straight at this time of morning, but if your PS3 is on that at the moment and you're getting an error, I think maybe it's the wrong setting.

No, you were merely the first to change your topic title. Some clans prefer to not edit their first post all the time, and so tend not to put news in the topic title, so you can't really make a claim that you were first, another clan may have just posted it, rather than editing the original post.

26 seconds ahead of you man. I dunno where it is specifically, but I'm mostly certain there is a setting. I'll look it up now.
Edit: What you want to do is to go Settings > Display settings. There's a couple of options there, resolution isn't quite what I expected but I think you can get it to work from there.

I don't get any of these cables, pretty sure we have none of those in the UK.
Also, as for the other thing, the error also mentioned resolution. Unfortunately the PS3 has a really low res, but I think there may be some monitor settings if you go to system then to the accesories menu.
