Anyone know of a good Mecha aside from Evan and Gundum?

Macross and Patlabor. Watch them. Now.

Also Eureka Seven and the first season of Code Geass. The sequel to Eureka Seven isn't very good so don't bother with it. Code Geass R2 sucks, but you won't get a complete story without it.

Last season had Buddy Complex. It was decent, if a bit generic and it's getting a second season in the fall I think.
There's the currently on-going Knights of Sidonia as well as Kenzen Robo Daimidaler. The former is more serious while the latter is about a guy who does perverted stuff to power up the robot.

Everyone's going to mention Gurren Lagann, so why not.
Majestic Prince grew on me. I didn't like it at first but it got better by the end.

I can ignore animation if the story is good. Sidonia's got a really nice setup, but its coloration is a bit on the dull-grey side...though that DOES reflect its atmosphere well.

only seen the first episode so far. it's not offensively bad like a lot of other shows, but it wasn't a particularly good first episode.
