Thunderbolt Fantasy is pretty good.
It has an OP by TM Revolution, music by Hiroyuki Sawano, and is written/directed by Gen Urobuchi.
...but it's a puppet show that's like a Chinese fantasy period drama.

bionicle was pretty stuff set-wise after 2005
story-wise it was meh after 2004 but they ended it ok

Something very creatively called "Patlabor Reboot" will be shown alongside re-screenings of other works from Japan's Animator Expo in October. Looks like a one-shot short film.
Familiar names in the staff list include Hideaki Anno as a producer, Kenji Kawai as the composer, and Kazunori Ito working on the script. Of course, Yutaka Izubuchi is on mechanical design.
New names are Naoyuki Asano as the character designer and animation director, and Yasuhiro Yoshiura as the director and scriptwriter. Not sure what Asano has worked on, but Yoshiura is the creator of Patema Inverted.
Koichi Yamadera and Megumi Hayashibara are listed in the cast! If you don't know who these two are by now, I'm not sure I can really help you.
Pretty surprised they're doing this, I thought the less-than-lukewarm reception the live-action series received would mean the end of Patlabor.
