that is honestly the dumbest thing I've ever heard
one thing about a lot of older games is that a lot was left to your imagination because of the limitations
i feel like games that relied on that wouldn't hold up today for newer generations that grew up with those gaps more filled
Also should mention that the Call of Duty franchise still uses a modified Quake 2 engine, which released in 1997. Talk about "cutting edge next gen".
I could talk about Doom speedrunning all day. Straferunning, wallrunning, grabs, etc. It's like an art form.

I always thought the Wii franchise was aimed towards you having people in your house throwing remotes at your TV.
I kind of agree, but at the same time, I feel like the limitations games had back then allowed for more creative ideas to be created.

Not to be an unpopular opinion puffin but I think old games are garbage for the most part.
