I looked at the reviews. It was mostly complaints about windows 8, or about bad manufacturer support. Personally non issues for me since I like Win8 and I can usually diagnose problems myself.

I could get my brother to help me with and issues, and 8's as good as any else to me, so you have a good point.

Even though you don't want to play games or edit movies, you don't want to end up with a stuffter that'll be outdated in a year, struggling to run ever evolving web media. Buy what you need plus a little extra to give you room.

The computer I'd been using was five or six years old, so I'm used to outdated technology. Plus I'll be able to use my brother's gaming desktop for stuff, soon. And this one only needs to last two years. Longer should be better, of course, but that's my minimum. However, if you really think it'll be an issue, I'll take this one into heavy consideration.

This one is really similar, but a little cheaper
