Then dump 'em :)

Actually that's a pretty good way to train stonemasons.

i don't always play dwarf fortress

but when i do

there stone literally everywhere and its ugly

how do i fix that

they wont shove the damn stone into barrels or anything

Designate a single square zone as "Garbage Dump" in some corner out the way (Zone key is i)
Use hit "d" whilst aiming at a stone in "k" to dump it.
The dwarves will them dump infinite stone into that one space.
Works with everything. Claim anything you want back by going to the zone and scrolling down the list and pressing "d" again.

Alternatively, make some catapults and set them to "fire at will". 10 points for each animal you kill, 100 points for every goblin you 'accidentally' decapitate. Good training for seige engineers too.

marigolds

Pro's go for Magic Trees and Palm Trees.

That's something I'm never going to say again. Not even sure why I said that. I hate myself for saying it. I could just delete it, but the requires use of the mouse or arrow keys. Meh.

But seriously, MARIGOLDS?!

Must...get...99...strength.
Rapier is at 37% and I need to do some more dungeoneering unless I somehow manage to get 20m gp out of thin air (yay for slayer) to buy a godsword to use or something.

did all the weapons get upgrades or only a few?
All of GWD got an update, except the armour which had already been updated a while back.

they treated that series as a loving joke, I think they delayed it on purpose :/, but tekkit, it's got entertainment and everything, much better than soi IMO
If the actually cared about SoI it would be a lot better. They actually got episodes out each week like they said for 3 weeks, and then haven't uploaded another for over a month. I think they just ran out of ideas, and got bored.

Alright, I've got the yogscast's lets play of tekkit, I recommend watching YogscastLalna's videos, they seem very helpful out of these.
Yogscast - Simon and Lewis. Tekkit
YogscastLana - Duncan. Tekkit with Duncan.
YogscastSips and YogscastSjin - Sips and Sjin. Sips and Sjins tekkit adventures.

Center text :D

YogscastLalna's (aka Duncan) are probably the most tutorial-y ones, at least to begin with. Attempting to learn anything other than destruction and messing things up from Simon & Lewis or Sips and Sjin is pretty much futile. Entertaining though. Shame the Yogscast seem to have abandoned SoI for tekkit :(

251m citizens :)

Somehow my economy just dropped 4 points. That's annoying. "All Consuming" to "Powerhouse" now :(
Oh well, time to be insanely cruel to citizens at the benefit of making a load of money.

Dungeoneering Conversation with a guy with 99 Smithing. Why do people do this?
Some people are stupid enough to actually pay for weapons in dungeoneering. Same for floors really.

All you really need to do is get a 5:5 team on any large floor with a high level miner and smith and just ask. That's how I get any weapons I need.

General Discussion / Re: How can I make my server less boring for me?
« on: September 07, 2012, 09:15:12 AM »
This is slightly off-topic but I just wanted to rant about it.

I had my family RP up and there was one other person on it. I was afk, and then I thought I wanted to shut down. So I said I would shut down, and the other person screamed "NO DONT" like usual. Now normally, when people get mad at me for wanting to shut down, there's a lot of people. But there was literally JUST me and them, which I said. They proceeded to say "IDC" to every point I made. Eventually I just said "SHUT UP OR I'LL BAN YOU" essentially and shut down.

That's the bad thing about family RPs, they attract a LOT of idiots.

If the final outcome was going to be shutting down anyway, why'd you bother to argue. On no server do the players truly have a say in when the  server ends, only the host. Stop asking if you can shut it down and instead just shut down.

Did nobody read this?
People have reposted the same issue, so I'm guessing not.

That's the problem I'm having myself. I can run shaders at last, but not shadows.

The thing is, when you aren't using the admittedly cheaty EE2, it is better because you're making loving diamonds.
Yeah fine.
Actually the cheaty bit of the admittedly cheaty EE2 doesn't feature in the use of a Mass Fabricator, only the condenser which whilst you can generate diamonds from dirt isn't generating diamonds from air/light.
Besides, the reason EE2 is considered OP/cheaty is because you can generate diamonds and crap from nothing. Solar panels might not be cheap, but by solar powering a Mass Fab, you're still making diamonds from light.

Funfact: Making diamonds with UU-matter is a terrible idea. Using 7 UU-matter to make glowstone blocks is ~4,000 EMC more.

9 Matter = 1 Diamond = 8,192 EMC = 910.2' EMC/Matter
7 Matter = 8 Glowstone = 8 * 1536 EMC = 12,288 = 1755.43 EMC/Matter

Almost double the EMC/matter :D

Just use a transponder/filter with a timer. Doesn't rely on engines to heat up for speed, and can do entire stacks of items at once. My entire workshop thingy relies on transponders.

Pneumatic tubes are nearly as fast as gold transport pipes too, and cheaper to make (2 bronze, 1 glass).

anyone want to dunging?
It's getting a lot more dangerous for me, now that I'm a higher level, a level 45 forgotten ranger almost killed me.(Insufficient supplies/armor.)
Just wait until you get the level 131 rangers in the same room as a 100+ mage. Then you can panic.
