Suggestions & Requests / Multi Client Vehicle Spawn
« on: April 29, 2012, 12:52:56 PM »
What this would essentially do is create a new vehicle on one brick for every client that activates it (event wise).
So if more than one person wants a certain car or vehicle, they can create one for themselves. But only one.
(perhaps an RTB setting)

I just don't know if making a vehicle brick spawn more than one vehicle is particularly possible. But if this was in some way possible, I think it would be neat. No more "Aw stuff, there are no more (Vehicle Name)'s left."

Mr.Noßody's and Jerkface's Falling Platforms
______________________________________________________________________________

Well, me and Jerkface went and did it. We made our own falling platforms server. But this is no ordinary falling platforms server, we made game modes for it. 4 of them.

______________________________________________________________________________

These four game modes include:
Normal Mode - The standard falling platforms mode

Colorblind Mode - When a color is chosen, the tiles all turn grey. Use your memory! (They turn back after each round)

Roulette Mode - On each activate of the roulette button, randomly chooses two different tiles to be fake killed. A glow effect marks the tile. Don't get caught off guard.

Liar-Liar Mode - An odd mode where the color of the word indicates what tile won't fall, not the word itself. "Green" could appear, but the text color would be red saying red is safe.

Modification Help / RPG Weapon Set (Needs Animations)
« on: March 19, 2012, 10:09:33 PM »
Well, Ive had these models and this idea for a little under two years now. It took me this long to actually ask for help here..

What Im trying to do is create an RPG weapon set to replace Jerkface's old and worn out RPG Weapon packs.
I need help with getting the animations right. I have limited knowledge of animation, and can't get them perfect.

Note: These are Milkshape files so without Milkshape you can't really do anything with the files I have.

What I have so far (model wise):

Battle Axe                                                                                     War Hammer

Mace                                                                                    Two Hander

Cudgel                                         Long Sword                        Short Sword

Dagger

Yes, they do use hand models. I know most of you are gonna complain about that..
But there is no other way of getting a custom animation on a melee weapon without hand models.

These weapons will be like Jerkface's with several versions varying in damage level and texture color.
(Ill be more creative with weapon materials though..)

If you would like to help me with the animations, and potentially the packaging of these weapons, send me a PM.

Note: These are Milkshape files so without Milkshape you can't really do anything with the files I have.

General Discussion / New Print Pack: Need some Ideas
« on: March 10, 2012, 01:43:28 PM »
Flooring Textures

I'm making a new print pack of flooring textures. I have three of them made and working, but I feel that's not enough. I'm looking for ideas that will expand the pack.

Post ideas you would like to see added to this pack. If I find them to be useful, I will make them. Please take note, these are Flooring Prints.

Here are the examples of what I have so far:

Rough Stone/Rock Flooring

Stone Tiles

Wood Planks

New Stuff:

Diamond Carpeting

Tarmac Texture (Basically the ramp texture minimized and repeated if you can see it)

Off Topic / KeyGen Juke Box - Favorite 8-Bit Songs (A List)
« on: March 05, 2012, 10:47:46 PM »
For those who don't know what Keygenjukebox is, its a place where several random 8-Bit/Keygen artists have their music on display, royalty free. There is no Key Gens on this sight, it is a place for music. Nothing else.

For the ones who do know what Keygenjukebox is, post your favorite songs here.
_____________________________________________________________________
My favorite KeyGen song list:

Kindly - Another World 1.1
ZWT - IconForge v7
CFF - Absolute Uninstaller
ViRiLiTY - Divx6Createkg
tPORt -CiAN Text Replacer
tPORt - Nero 8.xkg

So yeah, post your favorite songs. If you don't know what this is, check the website out.

Suggestions & Requests / Fill Printer
« on: February 26, 2012, 10:49:28 PM »
We really need a way to Fill Print large areas with prints.
Now I do know about the Tool Wand and how it claims to have a "Fill Print" action, but it only lets you select letters to be fill printed.

I would like a way to easily Fill Print all touching print bricks with any print available to that brick.

Also, if there is already something in existence that does this, please let me know.

Luigi's Mansion
____________________________________________
This is an off and on project that I have been working on, alone, for well over a year with my spare time. It is a remake of Luigi's Mansion from the game Luigi's Mansion for the Gamecube. It stands firm as one of my favorite games in the Nintendo library. I decided to build this in my love of the game and it's atmosphere.

It's not all done (as the name states), and its not my best work in certain areas due to a massive time lapse, but so far I enjoy this re-creation. Before you spend about 5 minuets looking at everything, mind you I didn't actually get around to capturing all of what I really have.. sorry bout that.
So far, the Basement, most of the 1st floor, and part of the 2nd, are completed.

I'm staring from the basement up.

I also have a link to my brick textures which people seem to want. So here they are.
Disclaimer: I can't help you with installation or how to keep them from changing back to default though.

Warning: This is quite Image Heavy. Watch out!

____________________________________________

That's all I can/want to show for now. Ill probably have more later to show once I pick the project back up, but as for now, Ill keep it as a hobby build.

Ugh, this took a lot of planning and wall clearing to take all the screenshots in a manner recognizable in reference to the video game. In plain terms: Damn, this too waaay too long to present.. (Roughly 1.5 hours to set up)

Oh.. rating is fine by me for all you people who care.

Help / Setting Music to None
« on: January 08, 2012, 02:31:38 PM »

It's a Duck

So, sometime last night I decided to make a full scale duck. Don't ask me why, I just did okay? It took about an hour to build and is around 350 bricks. Gaze at is all inspiring duckness.

-Rating is fine-

Here is a picture of it:

Help / Relays take time to travel?
« on: December 23, 2011, 06:15:02 PM »
So, I'm trying to make a device that lets me control the music that's playing throughout a large area using three music bricks on the three main segments.
Ive found that depending on where I activate the relay that tells the music brick what to play, different gaps form in the music loops. If I activate the three music bricks from somewhere that is not in the center of the three, a delay appears that is related to how far the brick was from the activation point. The delay is greater, the farther the brick is from the activation.

Does this mean that event relays take time to travel? Or is this exclusive to music playing?

Help / Brick Saving not Working
« on: November 21, 2011, 06:27:07 PM »
Every now and again when I go to save my bricks it proceeds to save, but then gets caught up on the last step. (The popup that says  "Saving Bricks Please Wait") I'm guessing its the part where it takes the screenshot and finishes saving. After that happens, it just sits there forever.

The build I try to save, on the loading screen, then has no image next to the save file and the progress I try to save, does not save.

This problem is not consistent so I cant replicate it on demand making a console log difficult.
Ill get one up as soon as I can.

General Discussion / Default Builds being "Bumped"
« on: November 06, 2011, 09:56:32 PM »
Seems that whenever I open Blockland, V20 restores everything that may be damaged or broken. This is good and all, but its getting really annoying with the default builds, and here is why:

When I go to load a build I was working on, say yesterday, ALL the default builds are bumped up to the top of my list under "Recent Date". I'm pretty sure this is because V20 keeps restoring them. The game thinks that they were "Edited" and updates the edit time to when I open the game.
I HATE having to scroll past them each time I go to load, its just annoying.

Same with the default screenshots. I don't want them, they are not mine and therefore mean nothing to me. I don't like how it gives them back.

Saves, Screenshots, and textures should not be instantly restored unless the user wants them to be.
