This only offers solutions to some of the problems presented in a monetary system. Not all problems.
How does this address the issues with drugs?
Most of the issues with drugs stem from poverty in the first place, but education + prevention can still take place.
Schooling?
That doesn't even have to do with this, but at least this way schools don't need funding.
Are todays scientists suppose to be tomorrows scientists as well and why?
huh?
Although I can agree on some points they make on our current system, I completely disagree with the notion that automation is a cure all for global issues.
That's fine but it's also just your opinion.
Also for this to work everyone has to be like-minded. So let's be hypocritical and enslave ourselves to this ideology.
"like minded" as in "not suicidal and devoted solely to the downfall of it"
It was at that point when you ran out of local oil deposits. You have to get more from somewhere else. OH BUT WAIT, THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU DO. So they can't help you with that. Oh well, no more fuels, plastics or other things that rely on oil.
I don't think you understand that this is a worldwide system.

Not this stuff again. I have a few questions for you.

- Who will protect us in times of war?
Against who?
- Who will protect us when another man like Al Capone and his gang goes on a rampage?
Why would people go on a rampage if there's nothing to gain? But obviously he'd just be trapped in a building or transport vehicle before he even got started.
- What about Wall Street and all the hundreds or thousands of financial and insurance buildings? Would you turn them into flower worship centers?
Yes.
- What happens when Saudi Arabia or Iran see when our military is disarmed?
They go back to being a peaceful educated society like ours.
-What happens to people's rights? Down the stuffter, right?
This doesn't infringe any rights... Rights and arbitrary and handicapped anyway.
- please tell me what would happen to businesses like Air travel, sea travel, and land travel? Don't say free because that takes up a stuff ton of resources.
Free, and they aren't "businesses"
- What about the hundreds of thousands of jobs that work for the government? That goes for teachers, FBI, the police, and hundreds of others.
There are no jobs.
- Who will replace our engineers and manufacturers, don't say robots, because that isn't sensible. And on that matter...
Robots, watch the third film
- Who will import their stuff to us? Without currency, we cannot buy anything, so it would be like being quarantined.
Food is grown locally, other  stuff is imported because there's excess.

hi actually I know nothing's going to change I'm just pointing out that our system is designed around having infinite resources and also that you don't have any power.

That's the problem I have with zeitgeist's proposed solution, guys. I'm too cynical about human nature to believe that we'll be completely free of forgeted up people and there's no method in place to get rid of that. I'm 100% in agreement but it's not like there can't be a way in a global resource based true economy. I also don't like the lack of realism in the transition.

It's mostly minor disagreements and some of the evidence they provide is sketchy. And I DON'T defend the entire movement, I'd just appreciate it if people understood the movement before trying to debate it with me.

At Mr. Wizard, since you haven't responded yet. :c

Spock showed it to me, I agree with (some) of it. I'm not really involved in the movement I just agree with some of it.

So the solution is basically people giving up what they have to the government/religion in order to mae everything better? Sounds like communism to me.

There is no government or religion in this system.

I'm 18 you clown, and I was being literal. It's part of human developmental psychology.Okay.

The guy who made the movie is an old forget. This has nothing to do with age.

"There's not much to summarize, the movement is essentially socialism promoting positive philosophical ideologies."

No it's not.

You can't rip apart society and then rebuild on the broken rubble.

You need to gradually renovate.

I concur.

I'm contemplating actually arguing, but this guy believes in this movement, so his skull is thicker than the plating on an M1 Abrams. Arguing would pretty much be a waste of time.
I doubt you could even summarize what the movement is about, but I'll assure you that thar is a very poor debater and you'll find more resistance in me, not that I care.
Oh, and:He's not old enough to comprehend philosophical and sociological information, so of course he believes in a broken system like Zeitgeist. Either that or he just wants to be edgy.
Wow you sure are a mature 16 year old.

This movement obviously fails to see that greed and lust for power is a natural part of human nature. Many people with resources and stuff are not willing to share them.

The third movie addresses this argument.

Wasn't this declared as communism?

The proposed solution is NOT communism.

Didn't someone already post this handicapped bullstuff and then ragequit when we decimated every argument he posted because the whole idea is fundamentally broken and stupid.

Please attempt to understand an argument before you dissect it.
