[GSF] Ghost is working on the size aspect of the terrain generator. Until it's done you're gonna have to wait.

Mentioned by him here.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Bots can paint bricks
« on: January 12, 2014, 08:41:57 AM »
Ah, that may be the root of it, then. Bots are allowed to affect public bricks. The reason I'd spoken about a mod being used earlier was because I was assuming that you guys had some kind of Add-on which turned your own bricks into public bricks or summat.  I suppose your best bet in this case may be to simply turn bot "spam" behavior off. The best solution would be to make bots completely unable to affect bricks in the "public" brickgroup. Sorry for not being clear about any of this.

The events for turning off bot spam behavior were mentioned by blueblur;
onBotSpawn > bot > setIdleBehavior > Spam_Off
I think that's it. The bot will no longer pull out tools or the paintcan. He will just stick to the tool he is set too.

And that's it. Sorry dude.

So everyone who said they actually saw it happen is lying?

I'm not talking about the validity of people's statements, if it happens it happens. What I've been saying is that it doesn't seem like it would be a feature, since it is understandably inconvenient, so I thought, "Oh, well since it ain't default it must be some kind of problem". Am I bothering you, somehow?

By chance, does this have something to do with public bricks?

Because it's more likely that everyone else has a mod that breaks it and you don't.

It isn't everyone who has it, but I do see your point. However, I also haven't seen bots break or paint bricks on other people's servers, or on Badspot's. It most likely is not a feature, and since apparently this was moved to suggestions and requests instead of to help where it seems like it should be, then it sounds like some kind of issue. Issues are usually caused by mods or other such things. Sorry to have bothered you, though.

I suspect you guys have some mod or something that breaks bots like this. My bots have worked fine without painting or hammering anything with spam behavior enabled.

I'm pretty sure there was an event included with the add-on allowing for refills?

It's been ten minutes. Calm down. It's slower around the BL discussion boards.

Anyways the closest we can currently get to this is holding the 'walk' key while driving to drive slower. Other than that this doesn't seem all that necessary. Have you been using your handbrake? Maybe on well-made vehicles that'd help you get your drifting fix.

Oh, you're trying to get bots to drive vehicles like pedestrians. This wasn't very clear but in any case it's easy to do with the "gotobrick" events and some delays so the bot gets into the vehicle properly. Multiple destination bricks with the same name will result in a random selection each time. Thus, you can easily have a bot drive around in a car at random as a pedestrian. Done.

Modification Help / Re: Where do I post finished Speedkart maps?
« on: December 30, 2013, 06:08:48 AM »
Well you put it into a gamemode and release it. Simple!

Well, you don't have to put it into the gamemode all by themselves, but you can configure 'em for speedkart!

I think Add-ons and Gallery could be acceptable for this. Many of the early speedkart tracks were added to add-ons.

I like wanted to like attack.

I don't understand? What do you want bots driving vehicles to do, exactly?

so, how?

To get a bot to hold still is literally two lines of event.

Onbotspawn>bot>setwanderdistance>stayatspawn (or try a parameter set to zero.)
Onbotspawn>bot>setidlebahavior>OFF

This will make a bot completely inactive unless ordered to do otherwise. To make things even easier, there is a "default bot" for when you don't even want to put in those two lines of event.

one of the reasons why I stopped making tracks was because nobody downloaded mine.

Link? I'm curious.
