No interest, then?

Yeah I agree with everyone saying this isn't too useful. Making bots "not act handicapped" is easy, but nobody seems to want to experiment with events to discover how to do this.

Games / In the Hunt- Submarines!
« on: November 11, 2013, 08:22:33 PM »
HEY YOU!

YA LIKE SHMUPS!? DO YOU ENJOY OVERSTIMULTANEOUSLY DEVASTATING DEEP STRIKING SIMULATIONS OF SUBMAWHEENS? THEN PLAY THIS GAME.

In the Hunt! Originally an arcade SHMUP, then ported to the Playstation and Sega Saturn, it's a game where you blow stuff up. Has a very Metal-Sluggish feel to it (having been made by the same team), and is loads of fun to play n' stuff. An evil corporation/society(???) has used doomsday devices to melt the poles and flood the Earth, and now rules what remains of mankind with an iron fist and massive, massive fleets of deadly superweapons. A resistance group has managed to secretly develop a new weapon of its own: a super-submarine capable of mass destruction the bad guys can only dream of. So limber up, arm the torcreepes, and dive for some ass-kickin' sub-blastin' fun. Did I mention it's fun? 'cus it is. Also, 2-player co-op!

Some game bits:

S'pretty fun to play. If you try to emulate it I'd recommend going with the arcade version. Ah well. Give it a go, will ya?

Couple I saw I'd like.

The only issue I has with this was that the projectile could break the bedroom windows. Other than that I saw nothing wrong with it.

I'm pretty sure the Cessna got crap-on'd too. However, you can find the links on this specific page of one of the many old mod topics. Scroll down and you'll see where MacktheHunter asks specifically for 'em to be removed, but I think you can still grab 'em.

If anyone really wants a Military Jeep copy anyway they can PM me.

Also, you can add the long divide symbol to a post using the <-> button. It's [-hr-] without the dashes.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Minigore 2 Weapons request

Like this? Hope it works...

Edit: doesn't seemed to have worked :(

That's because you need to edit the OP.

Honestly this doesn't seem like much. It doesn't have anything to it (at least that I can see) that merits it being around besides being extra-shooty. The fact that it kinda sounds like you're asking for the weapons from Minigore specifically also take away from the appeal of this (at least to me, that is).

Have you considered trying a non-mobile shooter, or emulation?

Works now. I tested it this time.

Event_SetBotLight
Yep, this one works like a charm. Thank you!

Any v9-v12 vehicles?

Which ones, specifically? There was a lot of stuff, having specifics helps.

Also, a guy was looking for Rykuta's old L4D2 weapons, does anyone know where to get ahold of them?

Well, I just tried it. It works so far as appearing on the events list, but it doesn't actually give bot any kind of light. Thanks for doing this, though.

Suggestions & Requests / Fixed/new setBotLight?
« on: November 11, 2013, 06:25:49 AM »
Now, there currently is a setBotLight event available, made by Chrono, but it was meant for use with Amade's bot events. It can be found here. Since it's currently incompatible with the game as it is, could someone make a new or fixed version of this event?

Not gonna happen. They're separate mods. If you really want zombies with Slayer your best bet is Endless Zombies. It's on RTB now.

Off Topic / Re: Rare/Historical/Cool Photography Thread

Some weird n' dumb stuff. Not too historic or anything but definitely rare. These photos are, what, only on one or two sites? Figures I suppose. For the rail nerds.

A monstrous steam engine made in Belgium in 1932. It was intended to be the very first test of the "Franco-Crosti" boiler reheating system and as a general service engine. It was actually highly successful, and immensely powerful to boot. Only the one prototype unit was built, though.

Once the war began, the Germans obviously captured the engine. They decided to split it into two different units, but ultimately they were probably scrapped. The Franco-Crosti system, however, had already proven itself a success, and there would be a small but fair number of steam engines to use the design, in varying layouts and sizes.

Source.

Sorry about that.

I think the Weapon_Quaketype package requires Tier+Tactical tier 1.
