I use spotify all the time and there is no folder for me either. this is your end sordo
Yeah, I removed the whole cache folder and it seems fine. Nothing was even happening with spotify on before that, idle cpu at like 2% usage so it obviously wasn't even active. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a thing for everyone and spotify was going the road of putting bitcoin miners on their user's computers.

why don't you just pay for spotify you get a lot of value
I agree spotify premium is really nice. I was going to be pissed if it was something spotify was doing on purpose considering how many people paying for premium.

At least it was a false alarm.

i just use the web player
are you sure it's the legitimate download?
Yes.
Never used spotify but either a virus put all those files there and it's unrelated to Spotify, or Spotify is vulnerable to a driveby download.
Could be the first one, but I'm the kind of person that leans on the cautious side when downloading things from untrusted sources, so I'm not sure when I would have gotten a virus.

I just had my brother who also has spotify on his computer check and he didn't even have a "Caches" folder, so I guess it could have been something else put them there.

I was running a scan on Malwarebytes on my computer and one thing that came up was from Spotify. I'm honestly really confused.

Along with that particular file I went into the spotify appdata folder and found a bunch of files similar.
animecoin.cl
darkcoin.cl
fuguecoin.cl
groestlcoin.cl
inkcoin.cl
marucoin.cl
myriadcoin-groestl.cl
quarkcoin.cl
qubitcoin.cl
sifcoin.cl
twecoin.cl
This was the entirety of the \Spotify\Caches folder + a couple more below the image:

I'm really not sure what to think of this. I deleted all of the files and restarted spotify to see if they were created again but nothing happened. What do you guys think is up with this?

Edit: Something else put those files there, but I have no idea what. They obviously weren't even in use because it would be fairly obvious if a mining program is active.

The whole blow up the big laser cannon was so boring because it already happened twice in the originals.
This. A lot. "Our first ultra death cannon got blown up because it has a really big weakness. LET'S MAKE ANOTHER ONE"

"Our second SUPER ultra death cannon got blown up as well? Hmmm. LET'S MAKE AN EVEN BIGGERRRRR SUPER ULTRA MEGA DEATH CANNON!!!!"
I was actually hoping that they didn't destroy Starkiller base, just disabled it. Make it a returning enemy and at least change up the flow up a bit or something. That's my biggest gripe with epi 7. What's going to be next, they build a large star sized super cannon that can destroy the entire galaxy but it gets blown up because they left a button that says "don't press or we all blow up"?

Finn didn't die?

At least. If he did, John Boyega had better explain how he managed to sneak into the next movie, else J.J.'s gonna be mad.
No I'm pretty sure he didn't die. When they got back on the falcon to the resistance base they brought Finn back to be treated. One of the medics even said he has a pulse.

Also I was confused with Finn turning because if they're supposed to be genetically modified and brainwashed when they're basically born (cause he was taken away from his family) then he grew up knowing the First Order did stuff like this, there's no way you go 20 some years, even as a janitor, not hearing stories or listening to speeches (like Hux gave) about how many people the New Order kills on a daily basis.

It's not that I don't buy it, it's more I think it could have happened later in the film or, maybe even earlier and offscreen so that when we do the Finn's "liar revealed" trope (which he does like loving three times), it'd be a surprise to the audience and give his character a little more weight other than "well, of course he's good now because he just so happens to be the one stormtrooper with the heart of gold also he's a main character."
My only thought on why Finn turning would be the handwavium version of the force gave him a conscience and he couldn't bring himself to be evil bad guy. Like Kylo noticed Finn to the point of being able to identify him immediately when it was revealed he turned. I'm thinking that the force guided Finn to being a good guy and releasing super pilot guy whose name I can't remember right now.

Kylo Ren is a loving baby
To be honest it was way more believable than Anakin's or Luke's crybabyness. Kylo was obviously still being torn apart by his decision to leave his family (then destroy Luke's academy?) and join the Dark Side. He didn't go on a full movie speel about "it's not fair, none of it is FAIR". Instead Kylo made a decision to go fully to the dark side and kill his father. You could definitely tell that he was emotionally unstable but his decision gave him clarity on what he felt he needed to do.

Anyways. I personally thing that Rey is Luke's daughter, and that her mother is either Mara Jade or a new force sensitive. She was way too powerful to not have two parents that were force sensitive. Plus I can't be the only one who thinks he looks vaguely similar to Padme. Now, why Luke would drop his own daughter off on a wasteland planet for, what, 10+ years I don't know. My dad's thought was that whoever Rey's mother is didn't want Luke to turn Rey into a jedi and decided to try to get her as far away from Luke as possible.

I saw it yesterday instead of waiting on the 18th.
Yeah same, my cousin got our whole family tickets and we saw it last night. It sucks because I got it spoiled for me that [BIG SPOILERS DONT QUOTE OR HIGHLIGHT:                                             Han died and Kylo is Han's son.                                             ] which sucked that it got spoiled, but I still really enjoyed the movie. Honestly, my opinion is that this is one of the best Star Wars movies. JJ Abrams really is a better director than Lucas, imo, and he was the perfect pick for these new movies. None of that cheesy whiny protagonist, forced dialogue, or even overly long parts like the podracing part of epi 1. I'm probably going to go see it again either tonight or tomorrow.

If you're on the fence or afraid of the new star wars I'd definitely recommend you go see it now.

moving discussion thoughts to other thread for discussion

Got my tickets to see it tomorrow at 7pm with family. I'm super excited, thus far all the reviewers have said it's amazing.

I was trying to figure out why Armorsmith Extended wasn't working, only to find out that extra esms and esps are disabled when using the beta patch, likely to avoid skewing report data

The only problem with that is if I try to use mods in the release build the game only lasts about 30 minutes before crashing to desktop

Guess I'll just have to wait
Set up your plugins you want, make sure the plugins.txt (appdata>Local>Fallout4) is correct. Set plugins.txt to read only and launch. That's how I've been playing with mods.

Dropped a $100 on backing this. Now I just need to come up with an idea for a custom weapon to be made lol.

With 24 days left and it already almost reaching the goal I'm really excited to see this. I can always use more 4 player splitscreen games.

I've won a couple times as Rebels on PC. On PS4 for some reason rebels win a lot more. Probably 1 in every 4 matches I played on PS4 the rebels won. While on PC it's a lot more rare.

funny joke kiddo
walker assault is empire-sided as forget
holy forget is it empire-sided
i assume it was done like this on purpose?
i have yet to win a game as a rebels on that map or lose as empire
I imagine they did do it on purpose, even though it's kinda lame from a gameplay point. On Sullust, though, rebels get a small advantage from their armor color blending in really well vs PURE WHITE on brown of the imps.

Would love to help test this

Games / Re: Why is steam refund bs only 2 hours?
« on: September 15, 2015, 09:18:56 AM »
Steam is already fairly lax on the 2 hour period for refunds if it's close. The system is in place for those terrible games, like probably 70% of the indie games on the steam store, that look decent but are buggy, unfinished, messes. And for when you buy a dumb game on an impulse for the 5 minutes of "lOL so RANdom Xd" and then instantly regret it.

~2 hours, or 2 weeks, is really fair for you being able to think that you shouldn't have bought that game.

And what about the "I don't like the game" option?
If you can't play a game for two hours and decide "I don't like this game" then that's on you.

I have a PS4 w/ borderlands as well. It's not bad, the auto aim makes up for the lack of m/kb i guess.

You should add me; DaSord213. I play a decent amount of PS2, as well.
