Yes, it is. Because if it wasn't, then this wouldn't be news. This would be one more on top of a homogeneous stack of equally awful murders. But it stood out,
Because cops don't do this anymore, and when they do it's shocking and unusual. This isn't the 1960s, the cops aren't going around murdering anyone with a dark
tint of skin, this is ridiculous.
THEY do NOT keep DOING THIS. This is a RARE incident. As soon as it happened, it was IMMEDIATELY obvious how bad it was, it wasn't ambiguous, it wasn't possible that the media twisted
some bullstuff one way or the other to play games. It was clear cut and obvious.

There have been changes, there have been improvements. Police have bodycams, people have phone cameras. if this were as common as you say it was, would it not be a bi-hourly occurrence to see videos like this pop-up? Yet this is the first one in several YEARS that has been as blatant and evil.
Except obama didn't have body cams attached to his drones, and the media wasn't constantly attacking him and his administration on a daily basis, pushing a narrative.

you are out here pretending there isn't police killing innocent people like every other month? lots of precincts dont have body cams, lots of this happens in small towns where they take the account of the officer for granted and let them off the hook.

its incredibly disingenuous to say that these are rare/isolated incidents or that all the police shootings are justified and you know it

yeah totally matthew we should just the obvious pattern of police indiscriminately killed blacks and whites continue. its totally fine to have police murder people in the streets without accountability.

you are saying like this is an isolated incident but these kinds of murders have been happening for decades and its only hit its boiling point right now

the reason people are saying they are insincere is that the police KEEP doing this EVEN after they always disavow it. the system doesnt change, there is no oversight, nothing changes. they protest every time, and peaceful means fall on deaf ears every time.

it's about the same as obama saying he would stop drone striking the middle east only to increase and double down in international wars. vapid and insincere "apologies" from police nationwide mean nothing if there is no change as a result of the protest.

Except, and this is the key detail.

This wasn't just the murder of a black man, this was a pattern of police violence and now people are rioting cause their voices weren't heard after years of recourse.

you are literally just showing how similar these two situations are and proving my point about how you support a police state over here but not abroad

The bill that they didn't want was RETRACTED.

The only reason the riots keep going is that it's "not enough".

One of their demands was fulfilled but even if they fulfill two or three more, it won't be enough.
They didn't fulfill all their demands. But if they do that, then it still won't be enough.
They didn't act fast enough. It doesn't matter that it was done within a week, it wouldn't matter if it was done within an hour.

This is pure anger and hatred.
This isn't healthy, and it isn't going to end well.

Everyone is saying that their message "won't get across" if they act peacefully.

This is good to see! Sure Target has the money to rebuild, but if it's destroyed what about the people who frequent this store for groceries? This stuff is causing a major inconvenience for many. Also good news I think Minneapolis has been more on the peaceful side tonight - but I haven't been dialed in on the news since 10PM or so so correct me if I'm wrong

ive seen many videos on twitter of hundreds of people cleaning up their towns and distributing the looted food and water so its p chill in terms of community organising

So looting innocent businesses is the way to go about it? They're just intentionally loving over these companies, a lot of them local or family owned, for what reason? It sounds like their quarrel should be with the police, not these guys.

literally all of the people that you highlighted have spoken up against looting. it's a strawman to say that their cause falls apart because there is looting at the riots. there is literally videos of protestors preventing looters from doing their thing and fighting people breaking windows

and yes, their quarrel is with the police, hence why they smash cop cars and burn police stations.
