Help / Re: BL Key No-longer Works
« on: July 24, 2011, 12:36:43 PM »
Hi Hayden :D

On Topic: Try to back up your add-ons folder, then re-install Blockland completely, and enter your key without any mods (Including RTB..), if it works then, it's most likely an addon. Hope this helped c:

it didn't, obviously, because we keep saying that we both have completely reinstalled Blockland several times.

Broken records don't help.  They annoy.

I don't see why you think it wouldn't. It's a simple program that turns a picture into a text file that is used as a macro. How wouldn't it work on different operating systems?

Well, I know how to get it to work... the thing is, it doesn't check "C:/Blockland", it checks "C:/Program_Files/Blockland" like most Windows XP computers when looking for the macro folder.

That was my best guess, because when a macro was put into the macro folder, it would have an empty list in-game.  I've never bothered to figure out why.

It's actually bigger than you think, and it's not only used for city RP's, i didn't build it on one. Anyway i don't think it's that bad.

#1:  It's only 14 bricks wide (Front side), so it is god damn small.

#2:  of course you don't think it's bad... you made it and posted it on the Gallery.

You sound like an idiot.

Oh, crap, I need to say something nice... er...

I like this map because it is nice and dark and zombies can kill you and stuff.

Also:

Please re-upload the save.
When I try to load I get random missing bricks:

He said you need to download some extra brick packs.

Needs more room and more style.  As is, it looks like a 5 minute city-rp job.

If you know what you're talking about this time, then it has to be blockland - my other computer loaded Blockland just fine, and the last time I used it was around Monday.

Jerkface, Nobody, if you have other computers, would you mind testing Blockland on them? For science?

I have two computers side-by-side.  The key itself seems to be disabled.

When UPnP support was first introduced, I remember there being issues if you had UPnP and PortForwarding done, I'm not sure if this is still an issue.

I'd suggest enabling UPnP on your router, disabling any port forwarding rules to do with blockland and enabling UPnP on blockland.

Disregarding the fact that port-forwarding isn't the issue, the router is working fine and the correct options have been enabled.

Actually, every time I re-open blockland, it automatically goes to "Authentication: Validating Key..." for eternity - it doesn't ask me to change my key unless I click on authentication.

This is what happens to me, and Mr. Nobody as he posted.  If you hit "Retry" it should fail and force you to type it in again.

When did you get your new internet upgrade?

It can take 1-2 weeks for it to fully relinquish its true power!

Since I don't want to wait for an answer, I'll just advise that you turn your computer off and reset your modem using the reset button on the back .
(Turn it off, hold the button down for 10 seconds, turn it back on, turn computer on)

You have portforwarded your router AND your computer, correct?

Stop trying to answer with crap, dude.  You can't "Forward" your computer as it, itself, is not a type of internet transceiver that has the ability to be port-forwarded.  If it could, you wouldn't need a Router or a modem.

Lemmie guess, the fey randomly fails and validates forever. When you re-open Blockland it asks for the key each time right?

Yes, I have the exact same problem. What the hell happened?

I like how he got the same stupid answers saying what has been said several times.
