Does an ocean count as a build?
Uhhh......

A mission editor made ocean? Brick ocean? Just keep in mind, if you don't think the application is good enough, I probably won't either. Make sure it's up to your own standards before comparing it to mine

:)

Better yet, pick up the phone and call me when you've amassed enough wit to actually dent my ego/reputation/life/choices.
You didn't give him a phone number :S

Did you make the website or did it come with a website builder? If you made it using another program, could you tell me which?
I made the website myself - and I don't think it comes with a website builder. Templates can be used though.

Nice layout! What did you use to host your website! I see no "Hosted by wordpress, freewebs, ec" at the bottom.
I'm with Dreamhost

If you didn't catch on from the title; This clan is based in the oceanic region. But don't let that put you off joining! The clan is open to anyone willing to apply. The clan website is here (Which is a work in progress :D) and if I can manage to get a few members, and the clan is fairly active - I'll buy hosting for a ventrillo/teamspeak server.

First thing you should do is prepare a nice looking build that you wish to apply with. Once you've done this and are happy with the result, head over to the Oceanicaclan website and navigate your way to the application page (Oceanicaclan.com > apply). Here you will find a form with a few questions, and an uploading interface. Answer the questions honestly, and upload the .bls (Blockland save) of your building application. Then simply press submit!

I'll be pretty easy going on the building half of applications for a while. More attention will be given to the small quiz that you need to answer and submit. Through this I will judge your character, motives, and if I can trust you enough to become a member. I feel it would be easier to start with a good attitude and work on building skills then the other way around.

Don't excessivly swear on the server. I don't mind if it's a private conversation - But wear the tag with pride, and know your limits when representing yourself and the clan.

Respect other members and players. Treat them how you wish to be treated.

Don't go out of your way to flame people. It just isn't needed. If someone is breaking the rules (While on the server at least) use the proper report facilities on the website so they can be dealt with appropriately.

Try not to judge people on their bl_id (Like me for example :p). There are multiple reasons for this. Just because someone is new to the game doesn't mean they are new to the 'online experience', or building things with blocks. Give them the same respect as anyone else until they somehow stuff it up.

The server isn't currently up. I need to come up with a few ideas for a build theme first (And how the clan will fit into it). I'll also come up with a few ideas that the whole clan can participate in (Once we actually have more then myself as a member).

Server rules
  • Respect the admins and their rules
  • Obey the admins within reason
  • Respect other players
  • Have fun :)

Server status
The server is currently down

The hosted build is "Sky City" - Because packer said we could.
So far only Clockturn and I have worked on it (Mostly Clockturn, I was on toilet breaks alot of the time). The build will be open to the rest of the clan/public for input very soon!

3/5/09: Started work on website, and pre-made forum post. Also purchased server and hosting for website.
4/5/09: Created logos and started work on the php.
5/5/09: Website in a useable state (Yay). Forum post tweaked to accommodate for new website.
7/5/09: Blockland teamspeak server is now up! More details here

Q: What are the clan tag(s)?
A: The clan tag is simply O (With ['s, I couldn't put them in the post because that's a formatting code :p)

Q: Why bother making a clan? You're extremely new.
A: Being new doesn't mean I haven't played before retail, and doesn't mean that I haven't managed a large clan before.

Q: Is there a clan forum?
A: I was thinking about adding one to the website, but didn't see much point until I had a few active members.

Now run along and prepare some stunning applications! Please remember, you don't have to live in the oceanic region to join the clan!

The more you self bump and double post, the less people are prone to agree with you. Do yourself a favor and don't push it.
I did watch it and didn't find it all that impressive. It's nice you're excited about it, but not everyone is going to be. And your bumps and posts took over 50% of the replies, that denotes a problem. You assume I'm being mean, I was only trying to help you. Your misunderstanding, your loss.
Over 50% of the content in those replies are off-topic, that denotes a problem.  :cookieMonster:. I didn't think you were making an attack on anything. But apparently you're pushing that I did. Make a drama thread if you care about it that much.

@Miga, is android only for mobile devices?
Never mind, I skipped the first line on the information page :p
