Off Topic / Solar farming

So most of the ocean is not in use. We can not power the whole USA even if every house had solar on the roof. So what we do is put a BIG patch of solar panels out at sea and not have a power line, but barges that have huge battery banks on them and they switch out at the solar rig.

Off Topic / Computer Troubleshooting: Power settings ignored.

When I pressed the power button on my laptop, it still had my Orbweaver lit up. This was not normal, so I move the mouse and the screen turns on like it wasn't even sleeping. The setting says go to sleep and require password on wake up. It does not do this. What is happening? I want my computer to be secure again because my family is very nosy and I don't bother to hide anything on my pc.

I even changed all of them to hibernate but it just ignores the settings.

Drama / Orange Man - "I did nothing and they abused me and ruined my computer!1!1"

After my resignation, Orange Man (an admin at BlockoBlocko's SMM) decided to kick, use eval to delete my player and even ban me. I think he is doing this for revenge like the Aero case- but he was promoted to SA so we can see how well went.
 
Thought I'd share this with you all- I capped the entire conversation. Will post text links in order if you care to look through them- but img tagging the highlights. I'm job hunting for my first job. What do you think of this letter I emailed to the owner of somewhere I want to work? I looked up a basic letter of inquiry and just changed the key information around. I removed said information for the purpose of identity protection.

Dear (their name),

My father, (fathers name), an old friend of the previous owner (he was a regular customer, he bought/sold sugar gliders and hedgehogs at (company name), suggested that I inquire about the possibility of openings. I am a sophomore at (school name), my bus drops me off at the (store name) across the street. I am turning 16 this February and would like to work at (company name) as my first job because it would be an interesting experience for me, unlike a mundane job such as working a fast food chain.

Off Topic / Weird Sprint data errors

So today I've been getting a LOT of weird popups on my phone. It will not connect to the data network and anytime I do anything (even not involving data) I get this popup.



I'm pretty sure it's because I'm at the end of my data cycle and I have yet to pay, but they sent me an email three days ago saying in SIX days they would cut my account, and I plan to pay tomorrow. Why would they lie about that?

Anyone else seeing this error? I've searched and some results say its a "4G network update" but that's only part of the code.
Whenever I search the full code I get jumbled answers not including mine.

Help / Blockland Steam Version: Stuck in Demo Mode

So I bought my cousin BL for Christmas and we were having a good time. Now, all of his addons are disabled and he is stuck in Demo Mode. Are the Steam auth servers still being DDoS'd? He has the Steam version, I have the desktop version. What do?

Off Topic / Requesting phone spec list

So after 4 months, the $40 phone I got that I thought was all I needed broke. Good thing to, because that thing was slow as stuff and crashed all the time. Anyway, I just placed an order for an LG G2. I know it was top of the list a few months ago, but where does it stand now? Top 5 most powerful phones? What I'm really looking for here is a sort of benchmarking/spec list for all (top) modern phones, just to see where mine lies (for bragging purposes). Also, if you have this phone, how do you like it? Tips and tricks to make it better?

Off Topic / Razer Orbweaver broke.

So I bought a Razer Orbweaver gamepad July of this year. A few minutes ago, the "S" key broke off, revealing the Cherry Blue switch. It goes back on and works, but wobbles around. I sent a request to Razer, basically asking "what do?". I don't have the box, so I don't have the RMA number. Is there any other way to get the RMA number, or does the company really expect you to save the box for a year until the warranty's up.

Ok so I'm gonna start you guys off with a little backstory. So me and my friend, Sos339, were playing on this fortwars server. The host's name was Alxetora. We started off by using choppers to assault their base. Then they decided to ban choppers, but later brought them back so he could use them to attack us. Then, he said not to attack his base, which we did, and then he said we could attack again (after he put up some "blast protection"). We decided to use snipers because he cried when we blew up his GTA5 apartment (I lol every time). Then he pulled out a flak cannon, which was banned earlier, and took some shots at us. I called him out on using a banned item, then passworded the server and kicked me out.

Off Topic / WiiU or PS3?

It's almost Christmas time and I have a decision to make. I've never owned a console before except a Gamecube. I (my parents) can't afford a high end computer, so I've decided on a console. My mother and I went down to Walmart and looked at some TV's and the such. We found a nice TV but they were out of stock on the PS3 and the WiiU. They had a WiiU on display so I gave it a try for kicks and I really liked it. Problem is, all my friends have PS3 and I don't think WiiU has multiplayer (internet multiplayer). I also like FPS games such as COD and BF. There are factors on the WiiU side as well, such as me being a Metroid and Zelda fanboy (attributed to me having a Gamecube for 7+ years).

So I came here like any sane person would do to get your opinion on the matter. Should I get a PS3 or WiiU? Which one do you guys own?
