actually there is nothing in the title but facts
True, the title is factual. But it is also worded in a way to insinuate wrongdoing. It wouldn't get half the attention if it was "Man appears to reach for gun while under arrest, police react by shooting."

Also, the OP reads "if you take off your hat you get shot now," insinuating that the reason for shooting was completely unjust.

Better non-lethal options, police officer body cameras, increased training, and (if payouts are made in settlements) cash directly from police pension funds instead of just going directly from the taxpayers to the party involved.
I agree with all of that. But you wanted to "expose" these officers, as if they did something wrong and went unpunished, which has the effect of demonizing them and furthering Mean World Syndrome.

This incident happened in 2013. It took 2 years for the video to come to light. If the legal system hid this video for that long they, really, really don't want people to see it- well, now people are seeing it.
Because they know it'll become more "national outrage," even if proven valid. You can even just look at the title and OP, it's designed to make you angry and believe these men were unjustified in shooting the suspects.

The problem with reporting police behavior only in ways that make them seem evil dehumanizes them. It's detrimental to society and to the lives of those already paid poorly for putting their lives on the line. What good does "exposing" these innocent police officers do anyway? They already got processed through the legal system. What do you want?

because it's a loving cop's JOB to do those things. you don't get a loving news report every-time an engineer builds a good building or a teacher teaches a classroom well. you do hear, however, when a teacher breaks the rules and interferes with a student, or an engineer was negligent and constructed a deficient building. when a cop forgets up it should be exposed, and it SHOULD be something to avoid in the future.

Sure, but what about when a cop does something outstanding in his field? One of my local police officers took time off to help in a school play. He dressed up and played the part of a police officer during a school benefit performance. He's super nice everyone loves him. No way that would make national headlines.

The thing is with this is that a cop killing someone (lawfully actually in this case) it makes national headlines, not just onto the desk of the DA for investigation. You get people who's only idea of police is brutal tyrannical murderers who shoot people walking down the street because it's all they ever hear about. Incidents of police abuse shouldn't be milked and spread with the intent of making the world look mean.

But that's what sells I guess.

kinda looks iffy when the PD doesn't want what is supposed to be a "justified shooting" to be released and wait for a judge to demand it to be shown after about 2 years
As you can see the media just gobbles it up. Perfect outrage bait and more money for the press. Good cops don't sell papers or bring in ad revenue.

the odds are generally in favor of the taser
Correction: he was tasered four times actually. I doubt four at once would all malfunction, nor that the police used it improperly.

395
nobody is immune to tasers, only if the taser malfunctions, or a user error happens, can they shrug it off.
This guy kicks a police dog and gets tasered three times.

He only falls for a second, not losing enough control to prevent him from impulsively firing a weapon.

396
which is a perfect reason to shoot somebody, apparently.

again it'd be great if they had tasers. the things that are supposed to provide a non-lethal option.
I too am supportive of more non-violent measures of police conduct, such as mandatory martial arts training, rather than just beating people to subdue them if violent. But LA is notorious for violence, and when people don't obey commands at gunpoint and instead continue to reach into locations where a gun could be concealed, the officers had reasonable suspicion that their lives were in danger. Multiple times they reached down towards their waists.

It is without a shadow of a doubt depressing that these men were shot while unarmed. But don't demonize the police over it. They acted lawfully. Also, a taser might make them seize up and fire a weapon if they have a grip on it, not to mention it sometimes doesn't work anyway.

397
The police acted lawfully. The person shot didn't just take off his hat. He was also moving towards the officers, yelling, and raising and lowering his hands. One of them even reaches into his pocket. Finally, after ignoring multiple commands by the officers in both English and Spanish, he takes off his hat and his hands drop down towards his waist. Multiple times any of the suspects could have pulled a concealed weapon. I would be paranoid too in this situation if I were a cop, and it's not because of their skin color or language.

They were cleared by the DA, see source here: http://documents.latimes.com/da-memo-gardena-police-shooting-unarmed-men-captured-video/

Fun fact: the soldiers in that American flag background are national socialists. Foreshadowing?

Despite just being stupid in general, there is a deeper reason why this kid's arguments don't work. Only humans have protection under the US constitution. Dogs don't get freedom of speech, and neither do penguins. Therefore telling him to remove his penguin hat is not violating any constitutional law, especially not that of the struggle American Muslims face.

See, there's this thing called a "persecution complex." I've seen articles on various websites saying that Christians are now under attack. Videos like this are fueled by half-truths and most outright lies to just further the idea that somehow, the massive majority of the country is under attack.

This idea that Christians came under attack came from an upset in tolerance, such as more rights for blacks, women, gays etc, all of which were previously second-class citizens under fundamentalist rules. Now that they have more rights, the only way to fight back without openly being bigots is to claim that those minorities are now the oppressors.

If this whole thing is a prank, it's not a very nice one. I've been tricked by my own friends too and it isn't fun at all.

Spoilers: I don't like the new fusion. She was designed solely for the purpose of generating envy, and gives off that air of arrogance I don't like in characters. It also made Pearl out to be even more of a richard.

Spoiler image: this scene was so beautiful and just covered the state of the team's relationship so perfectly. SU is amazing.

Surely there's some kind of "cop judo" that allows them to arrest resisting people from violence right? Why do they need tasers, or in some cases beating?
