I really don't plan on overclocking quite yet, will it still perform well enough? How much better is the 4590?It's 0.5ghz faster iirc, which is something like 15% faster and it's guaranteed to help in games because that's singlethreaded performance. However, you still can't overclock if you choose to in the future. It's a better choice imo to get a 4690k (overclockable) without an aftermarket cooler vs getting an i5-4590 with one, those two options are about the same price.

I mean from what I saw the parts I chose seemed pretty darn good, I'm only spending a grand and it's already worlds better than the $800 laptop I've been living off for 4 years, it's not like I'm looking to run brand new games on max settings or anything
