That's the kinda stuff I'm saying! I could probably also do custom monitors (modified bezels/stands of pure oak or something) and I could make up some seriously awesome keyboards.
I recommend making some super-cool prototype models, like furniture where a monitor and keyboard will pop out, and then advertising them

I came up with a beautiful idea.

I wanted to get into the industry of building and selling custom gaming PCs, but it's a popular market and I probably wouldn't get far with it.

I also had the idea of making and selling furniture, as I'm a pretty good woodworker. Again though, high popularity, and that's what IKEA's for.

Now what about this, combining the two - make custom built PCs, but the cases are hand crafted, varnished wooden cases. I mean like, gorgeous Victorian furniture style cases, and also making them as fire-resistant as possible on the inside. I feel like this would spring up a pretty grand market.
oh lawd

Erm.. no they don't. Where on earth did you hear this?

It's a future proofing method. The idea is that you put in less sticks with more ram, that way you can fully max the boards RAM capacity in the future so you don't need to replace all the 4GB dims.
Many motherboards require this, including my own

What, I am going to teach him how to build the loving Empire State building?

I told him the basics.
Did you even read what I said, or are you just looking for an excuse to rage. If you taught him to build, show us something he built. You also have the choice to include no pictures whatsoever. My point is, those two specific pictures prove nothing at all about what you taught him, they're just a waste of space in the op. Not that I don't believe you, just that you could have had much better images in your op, or none at all if this were just to be a discussion thread (which is completely fine)

is your friend handicapped? he is trying to get you 1x8 memory for a motherboard that can hold four sticks of RAM. what a dinck.
This. On most motherboards you have to install a pair of sticks at a time

So as proof of you teaching him, you included 2 pictures of him spawning and shooting a gun? Which happens to be one of the noobiest things a noob can do...

Walk up to potential mate.

Hit on head with big wooden club.

Once fallen, grab by hair and drag back to your cave.

Consummate your caveman marriage.

Seems to me like if you're left-handed the arrow keys would be the best choice, mouse would be on left side of keyboard

Christ

First: lock this and repost in the computer megathread, we'll help you there
Second: If your budget is only $250 dollars, WHY OH GOD WHY WOULD YOU INSTANTLY GO FOR 16 GIGS OF RAM AND A GTX 650

Intel doesn't make graphics cards. Intel makes integrated graphics which are built in to the CPU. When you buy an Intel CPU, you're getting the integrated graphics with it. I hate seeing "Intel makes stuffty cards but their CPUs are great"...
Yea this is true. It's easy enough to infer what icy meant though, integrated graphics just can't compete with discrete cards. I think intel tried and failed to make good discrete cards, so they decided to build the gpu right into the cpu in order to keep a competitive edge in the graphics market.

Just traded 2 items I NEVER use for 3 items
john, please don't turn into a blockguy
It's not that big of a deal to get three craft weapons. In fact, it's so incredibly mundane that you shouldn't have even mentioned the trade at all, least of all pictures.

I am also going with the i5-3570 because it is better than its similarly priced AMD counterparts in terms of speed and features.

Intel graphics cards are terrible but its hard to argue they don't do amazing processors. I would never buy an AMD CPU ever, they always feel like they are trailing second best. In saying that, I do like ATI/AMD graphics cards very much, great value and competitive performance to their similarly priced Nvidia counterparts.
I agree with all of this post

Dunno if this is directly the fault of iOS 6, but I didn't notice these things happening before it

- iPhone will lag prodigiously at random times
- iPhone will continue to lag occasionally
- Message notifications will occasionally lag behind the actual messages by 5 minutes
- Message notifications stack up, so if a lot of messages are sent within a short span of time it takes a lot longer for the notifications to stop chaining up
- Message notifications will not disappear, even if the new messages are viewed

This stuff gets annoying
