Off Topic / Cable Problems
« on: July 27, 2010, 04:55:51 PM »
I thought i would make a post about this, I don't need help or anything, but..
There was a cable test thing going on a minute ago. It was going on for about half an hour, then the warning shut off.
The tv service for my TV Provider for the whole state was shut off.
Then a minute after that, the service started up, and it boot up like a computer.
It was odd, but funny. It's still trying to boot up.

Help / Blockland Large Performance Drop
« on: July 01, 2010, 03:31:35 PM »
I have a bit of a problem.
Ever since V16 was released, it appears that Blockland's FPS decides to drop down to 5 when there's more than 100 bricks, while normally I would get 80.
Any help with this one?

Games / Killing Floor Guest Passes [WINRAR!]
« on: June 12, 2010, 09:04:25 PM »
I'm going to give away two KF guest passes.
First guest pass goes to one riddle, second to the second riddle.
First Riddle: If you rode into town on Christmas, and you stayed for two days. Then you came back on Christmas. How is this possible?
Second Riddle: Two kids were playing tic-tac-toe. They both played three games and won three games without any ties. How is this possible?
This give-away is a "Smart People Win" give-away. Answer like this with your steam username..
Example: First Riddle is corn. My username is bloak.
IF YOU OWN KF: Answer it right, I'll give it to a friend of yours that you choose.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY HAD A KF GUEST PASS: Sorry, you're disqualified.

First Riddle goes to the generic questionmark!
Second Riddle goes to Pame!

Games / Fallout: New Vegas
« on: June 10, 2010, 11:11:11 AM »
Fallout: New Vegas
If you're going to say late, leave.

What is New Vegas?

You should know this already, but whatever. Fallout: New Vegas is a sequel to Fallout 3.
It, obviously, takes place in the dead Las Vegas.

What's different?

Well, for one thing, it takes place in Las Vegas you ding dong, and instead of taking place as a Vault Escapee, you take place as one of those annoying trader people from the wasteland. The game places the player in the role of a courier. The courier, while delivering a package with unknown contents, is found unconscious in a shallow grave after a failed assassination attempt by an unknown assailant. The courier is treated for injuries by a local caregiver, Doc Mitchell.

What is the gameplay like?

The gameplay uses a different engine from Fallout 3's stuffty one. It will have many improvements from the old one.

What about the weapons?

There are new weapons, some are Fallout 3 weapons, and there's now a weapon modification system. The modification system allow for weapon modifications, such as mounting scopes, modifying rate of fire and changing size of magazine.

Are there still Companions?

Yes, but there are better control over your companions, using the new "Companion Wheel" feature.
The Companion Wheel is a graphical and a radial menu, it's an easier way to control your companions and give them orders.

We already know about Fallout: New Vegas, why did you make this topic?

Well, if you haven't noticed yet, it's up there for pre-order on Steam and you can get the "Caravan Pack", so I felt to dig up some information on it.

Pictures!

Help / Link in a Welcome Message?
« on: May 28, 2010, 10:12:12 AM »
This is kind of a stupid question, but..
Is there any way to put a link in a welcome message?
I paste it in there, and it doesn't work.
I remove http:// on it, doesn't work.
I add <a:[link]>, doesn't work.
So, any way to make it work? :3

Games / Lego Racers -Images!-
« on: May 22, 2010, 05:07:11 PM »
Lego Racers
Question Time!
What is Lego Racers?

Lego racers is a fun as stuff game from 1998-1999. Although it's old, and the graphics aren't impressive, it's all about gameplay.
It's, obviously, a racing game. No multiplayer play, but you can create your own vehicles! It's quite fun indeed.
What's the Gameplay like?

The gameplay is fairly simple. You build a car, you race it.
What happens is, it's somewhat like Mario Kart. If you hit your power-up button right on "Go!", then you will be boosted up to Level 2 boost.
During the race, you race against 5 other contestants, and there are power-ups along the track.
Green
Red
Yellow
Blue.
You just run into them, and you pick them up.
What are the different powerups?

The green power-up is boost. Level 1: Red boost, least energy, shortest. Level 2: Green boost, larger, more energy, short. Level 3: Blue boost, dual thrusters, more energy, normal. Level 4: Time Warp. You warp ahead of the competition!
The yellow power-up are drops. Level 1: Oil Slick, simply spins the enemy. Level 2: Explosive Barrel, throws it and hits behind players. Level 3: Satellite. This small satellite will grab the victim, throw them forward, then throw them back. Level 4: Mummy Head. It will make you dizzy, so your steering is reversed.
The red power-up is projectiles. Level 1: Cannonball. Level 2: Hook. You grab the victim, and pull yourself ahead of them. Level 3: Magic Wand. It will mount it to the front of your car and cast an electric beam. Anyone who hits it is temporarily stunned. Level 4: Heat-Seeking Missiles. Self-explanatory.
The blue power-up is shield. Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4. They simply change in strength and length. Level 1 being the weakest and shortest, Level 4 being the longest and strongest.
How do you build a car?

The first button on the Main Screen is Build. You start off building a driver. The screen looks like this..
You create your driver, and you can unlock more pieces by beating the champions.
Afterwards, you name it and take a license picture, posing his/her face how you want.
The second section is the car building. You can also unlock more pieces for vehicle construction.
The building system is different from blockland's. You do use the Numpad, but you have to use + and - keys in order to place bricks.
Who are the leading champions?

The champions are as follows..
Captain Redbeard

King Kahuka

Basil the Batlord

Johnny Thunder

Baron Von Baron

Gypsy Moth

Rocket Racer [Final Boss]

Bonus: Veronica Voltage

Baron Von Baron and Rocket Racer later appeared in Lego Racers 2.
These characters appeared later in Lego sets.
Sounds good. Is it free?

No, of course not.
This game still sells out there. You can find it on E-Bay for 13$, and some stores for 5$.
It comes on the platforms N64 and PC.
D'oh. Well, photos please?

I'm going to take the pictures now.
