General Discussion / Retail Blockland interview from Mocheeze!
« on: December 22, 2006, 04:36:05 PM »
Had a lot of fun with this interview, but some things HAD to be cut...  :cookieMonster:
dUMBELLS: I'm going to start by asking you some questions about the release date

Mocheeze: Sure.
dUMBELLS: Do you think that Badspot will have a final product by that time?
Mocheeze: I honestly can't say, but I'm hopeful that he'll be able to make that deadline. He seems to be taking the possibility of a delay in stride though, haha. Like he said, there was a time when he told everyone it would be released in 2005 for sure. :P
dUMBELLS: Did you expect the release date to be around Febuary 2007?
Mocheeze: I honestly expected it to be out in mid-December. I thought the Christmas market would be a huge boon for retail, but I guess that just wasn't possible with everything Badspot still wants to add.
dUMBELLS: Which is a good thing? If he had it out now then it probably would be incomplete?
Mocheeze: Well, I'd just say it wouldn't be AS complete as the February version.
dUMBELLS: Now I'm going to ask questions about the actual game, if I just planted a brick what are all the possible ways that I can change it?
Mocheeze: Well, I'm going to try and do this from memory, since the beta servers if off right now.
dUMBELLS: Alright, go ahead.
Mocheeze: You can paint it with tons of colors, including transparency. You can add paint effects that make bricks shine, wobble, flash, glow, etc. You can add particle effects coming off the bricks like fog, fire, laser beams, waterfalls, bubbles, and more that I can't remember. Also you can point those effects in any direction you want (North, South, East, West, Up, Down). You can add lights to the bricks like a regular white lights, bright lights, blinking lights, color cycling lights, and others that vary on those themes. You can attach weapon and tool spawns to every brick (and make them part of a minigame). You can add music to music bricks. You can make vehicle spawn bricks that give you vehicles on top of them (which you can also make part of a minigame). You can also build on bricks as well. I might be forgetting something, but that's pretty much the gist of it.
dUMBELLS: You can also create a welding effect by applying a blank decal to all of the bricks in your build, right?
Mocheeze: Oh right, I totally forgot about decals. Yeah, the decal bricks don't have edges I think, so if you don't put a decal on one of them, that brick face just looks continuous. You can also just edit the textures of your bricks if it bothers you that much anyway.
dUMBELLS: So you can save builds as a client, as mentioned in another interview. Can you load these builds into your server?
Mocheeze: You can load builds anywhere that you are an admin.
dUMBELLS: What would happen if you loaded it into a different map?
Mocheeze: Right now when we do that it just loads the bricks where they'd normally be if it WAS the correct map. So they're pretty much floating everywhere they shouldn't be. I think Badspot said he plans to get rid of that though.
dUMBELLS: At this stage of development, you've been able to access more menus, right?
Mocheeze: I suppose, yes.
dUMBELLS: Have any of them improved, such as the server menu?
Mocheeze: Yeah, the server menu definitely has. I don't know how final it is though since we're not allowed to host our own servers in the beta. You can set your port, brick limit, max bricks/sec, random brick coloring by default, allow color loading, max chat length, flood protection, e-tard filter, curse filters, falling damage, max vehicles per player and the server, max lights per vehicle and the server, max emitters per player and server, enable and disable individual music files, enable and disable addons, choose between single player, lan or internet, give your server name and password along with admin and super admin passes, and the max players.
Mocheeze: Oh, and the map.
dUMBELLS: Curse fitlers? Does it work on names too?
dUMBELLS: Or have you not tried yet
Mocheeze: No idea. I've never tried an offensive name with the curse filter on.
dUMBELLS: I'd probably make Blockhead turn into Noob if so.
dUMBELLS: lol
Mocheeze: Haha, good plan. :)
dUMBELLS: Since our last interview, has the appearance menu changed?
Mocheeze: I think it's still about the same. You can color every part of your body individually, and have clan tags, along with a randomizer for you appearance too. It's fun to see what the randomizer comes up with sometimes.
dUMBELLS: Have you've been granted admin yet? If so how do you think the commands balance out?
dUMBELLS: For the admin menu
Mocheeze: Everyone that's played the beta gets admin access right now. I think the admin commands are pretty balanced. I think Wedge went into detail about all the options in the last interview, so I won't repeat everything he said.
dUMBELLS: What version of Retail Blockland is Badspot on now?
Mocheeze: 27.
dUMBELLS: What are some features that he has kept in and taken out?
Mocheeze: I don't think he's taken anything out at all. Only improvements.
dUMBELLS: Do you still think that there is a lot to see when we buy it even though we know so much?
Mocheeze: You can't really feel how much better the game is until you actually play it for yourself. I can never go back to playing v0002, no matter how good the mods are. I'm sure there will be a good demo available for the game that everyone can play, so you guys will all be able to see for yourselves.
dUMBELLS: Well it's been a good time interviewing you
Mocheeze: Thanks man, it's always fun to do your interviews. I hope I helped. :)

General Discussion / New interview for RBL with Wedge!
« on: December 20, 2006, 04:46:40 PM »
I've bolded some points of interest, enjoy!

dUMBELLS says:
So I'll start off by asking you some questions that you may have answered already, they are frequently asked.
Wedge says:
Go ahead.

dUMBELLS says:
Will retail blockland be on the Xbox360, Playstation 3, or Wii?
Wedge says:
Not that I know of.

dUMBELLS says:
When will retail blockland be released?
Wedge says:
I don't know.

dUMBELLS says:
How will it be moddable
Wedge says:
There is an add-on folder, you just drag and drop changes into there. The Query Server menu tells you if a server is running custom content.

dUMBELLS says:
Alright, now I'll ask some of my own questions.
dUMBELLS says:
Has the game ever crashed with the new jeeps?
Wedge says:
No, why would it crash?

dUMBELLS says:
Well they tend to in RTB
Wedge says:
Retail has improved vehicles.
Wedge says:
"-Vehicles crash less" from Badspot's change log.

dUMBELLS says:
What can the bricks spawn, like in one screenshot it showed that the bricks spawned a sword, a spear, and a bow.
Wedge says:
Wands, pistols, rocket launchers, swords, spears, and bows. They can also spawn particles, lights, vehicles, and players.

dUMBELLS says:
Players?
Wedge says:
Have we explained the new mini-game system yet?

dUMBELLS says:
Not really, but you did mention that it was like bjway's minigame maker
Wedge says:
He made one?

dUMBELLS says:
For Project Impending Doom, you may not know because I was one of the few testing it
dUMBELLS says:
Anyway explain it again
Wedge says:
Well, there is a mini-game GUI. You can select how many points you gain/lose for killing people, killing yourself, dying from fall or environment damage, planting/destroying bricks, etc. You can choose what kind of player model you are from a choice between a horse and a player. You can choose jet/jump styles, like fuel based, leaping, higher jumping, or quake style. You get to choose what weapons player start with, whether they can use bricks in your minigame, if they suffer from fall or player damage, and whether they can use vehicles. You can also specify where they spawn.

Wedge says:
That is where the player spawns come in. They are a special brick that players spawn at based on the mini-game. You can have player specific or mini-game specific spawns.
dUMBELLS says:
How about the rocket launcher, does it work well?
Wedge says:
It is a temporary weapon for killing jeeps. Right now its basically a rapid firing nuclear bomb that is really cheap in death matches that will be balanced by release.
dUMBELLS says:
What has changed the most from blockland?
Wedge says:
The performance. The latest test has been at 70,000 blocks. The blockland server was still running strong, but the forums and AoT server both slowed down a bit. So if you plan on loading 70,000 blocks, don't run a website off your computer.

Wedge says:
For a comparison, beta blockland is capable of 2,000 at most.
dUMBELLS says:
Can you upload custom decals or music to a server?
Wedge says:
Yes.

Wedge says:
Server side, not client side.

Wedge says:
People can't upload music to my server.

dUMBELLS says:
What can you do with the new wrench?
Wedge says:
Add particles, change their direction, add vehicle spawns (on vehicle bricks), add light effects, add weapons/item spawns, and change which direction the weapons face in.

Wedge says:
So if you want to mount a sword over your fireplace, or build a spear rack, you can customize which direction the weapons face in.

dUMBELLS says:
So with rotation covered by the wrench what is the wand's purpose?
Wedge says:
The wand keeps the purpose it has always had, which is to destroy.
Wedge says:
Other wand functions were added by RTB.
dUMBELLS says:
Oh, so you can kind of set up donimos with it?
Wedge says:
You mean physical objects that knock each other over?

dUMBELLS says:
Yeah, I guess...
Wedge says:
No.

Wedge says:
The wand's purpose is to destroy any brick, regardless whether it has any bricks connected to it or not. In the original blockland, you were required to hit a brick on top before destroying the lower bricks. The wand bypasses this, but if you destroy all the supports to a brick, leaving it floating, it will be destroyed as well.

dUMBELLS says:
I have a theory, if I upload a custom decal that doesn't have a decal, and I apply it to every brick I use to make a wall, will it look like a plain wall? I'm asking this because I see that it gets rid of the brick edge effect.
Wedge says:
Yes, but that decal already exists.
Wedge says:
So you don't need to make it.

dUMBELLS says:
Are movers in the game?
Wedge says:
No.

dUMBELLS says:
What are some punishments that admins can give to players
Wedge says:
Kick and ban.

dUMBELLS says:
What else can an admin do?
Wedge says:
Oh, you can also clear a specific player's bricks.

Wedge says:
Admins can use free cam, clear bricks, load bricks, highlight bricks (just flashes one players bricks bright white for a few seconds so you know who placed them), spy (3rd person orbit cam around any player), kick, ban, and change map.

dUMBELLS says:
Do some weapons overpower others while in Deathmatch?
dUMBELLS says:
I know about the rocket launcher.
Wedge says:
Spear is powerful, has splash damage, but a slow recharge time. Whenever we play death matches, we almost always use this weapon. The bow fires quickly, but does minor damage, and is affected by gravity. The sword kills people quickly, but it is a melee weapon. The gun fires in a straight line, and does a decent amount of damage, and is the second most frequently use weapon.
Disregarding everything else in the previous paragraph, the missile launcher is the most frequently used weapon, when available, since it is so powerful. Usually though, we disable it.

dUMBELLS says:
Do the brick's studs actually stick out or is it just a texture?
Wedge says:
Just a texture, there haven't been actual brick studs since the earliest screen-shots of blockland, although there are a few shots that show some of Badspot's old brick studs.
Wedge says:

http://badspot.us/index.asp?p=image&dir=3D%20Work&img=./3D%20Work/00%20Torque/lego.jpg
dUMBELLS says:
There are some people saying that RBL looks exactly like TBM, what do you think about this?
Wedge says:
Take a look at the studs. They look nothing alike.
Wedge says:
Some of TBM's GUIs were based off of an older screenshot of blockland.

dUMBELLS says:
What is Badspot working on right now for RBL?
Wedge says:
He has a huge to-do list. I don't know what he is working on at the moment though. Probably working out some of the bugs in the most recently added content.
dUMBELLS says:
What do you want the most for Retail Blockland that isn't already in it?
Wedge says:
I don't really know. If I had ideas, I'd tell them directly to him anyway, rather then have him read through an interview to find them.
dUMBELLS says:
Have any garage game staff come by to test?
Wedge says:
Yes
Wedge says:
Now that he works over there, we spot people from GG in the server every once and a while.

dUMBELLS says:
Is all content from RBL made by Badspot?
Wedge says:
Yes.
Wedge says:
Except the free or commercial resources he downloaded/purchased.

dUMBELLS says:
Have any new maps been added
Wedge says:
Bedroom and Kitchen, both have light/and dark versions. Both have been completely re-made, and have lots of cool secret places for players to discover. A map called slate, which is a huge flat map to build on has been created. Slopes has also been returned, and works great with the fixed skis.

dUMBELLS says:
Slopes? Is it like the old slopes without any baseplates?
Wedge says:
Yes. The skis work better though.

Wedge says:
Also, baseplates are no longer required to build, although they are recommended. So we were able to mark off our own ski trails on slopes, which makes it a lot more re-playable.

dUMBELLS says:
One more question, for the average new player that has just purchased RBL, how long will it take to learn and master the game?
Wedge says:
Probably an hour for someone who has played blockland before, who keeps trying to use the old keys out of habit, and building with floating bricks. Maybe less. There is a manual included in the game, as well as tool tips.

dUMBELLS says:
What about totally new players that happen to buy it?
Wedge says:
It might take them a while to learn to use the numpad to build. The learning curve is about that same as vanilla.

dUMBELLS says:
Alright, thanks for your time
Wedge says:
Any time.

General Discussion / Retail Interviews from old site.
« on: December 16, 2006, 10:36:03 AM »
Here are some interviews from my site which will clear up some things, but some stuff might be changed.
I couldn't find the oldest interview, but here are the rest:

dUMBELLS says:
How does the spraycan work, is it like the Blockland version or like the RTB version?
dUMBELLS says:
As in do you get to transparency paints with the center mouse button?
Wedge says:
You press the r key, and it cycles the pallete you are using, you cycle individual colors with the scroll wheel.
dUMBELLS says:
What palletes are there
Wedge says:
There are normal colors, transparent colors, bold colors, sandy colors, and fx..
Wedge says:
Colors are server defines, so you can create your own palletes, and people will be able to see them, without having to download a thing.
Wedge says:
If you load something using a different pallete, its pallete will be loaded as well, so the colors appear the same.
dUMBELLS says:
You mentioned that you can create your own palletes, can you also create game modes?
Wedge says:
Not yet
dUMBELLS says:
Does badspot plan on it?
Wedge says:
SInce that doesn't directly relate to building, it will probably be up to mods.
Wedge says:
The ability to make server side game modes already exists, however.
dUMBELLS says:
Will RPG support be included in the game?
Wedge says:
I don't know
dUMBELLS says:
Will in-game IRC exist?
Wedge says:
I'm not sure.
dUMBELLS says:
Wouldn't be too difficult.
Wedge says:
Since that requires little if any source code modification, I'm assumig it would be left for mods.
Wedge says:
The GG resource exists, I believe RTB used a modified version of it.
Wedge says:
It appears Badspot is focusing on features that mods can't easily add, and performance issues.
dUMBELLS says:
Ah.
Wedge says:
The sort of why recreate RTB, it puts RTB out of a job sort of thing.
dUMBELLS says:
Well has badspot added any admin commands, if so how does he keep it under control?
Wedge says:
He keeps it under control with an admin password. The current commands are clear all bricks, change map, kick, ban, find and bring players, and spy.
dUMBELLS says:
Spy?
Wedge says:
It is a 3rd person view centered around players, that allows you to see where they are, and what they are doing.
dUMBELLS says:
Ok another question
dUMBELLS says:
How are letters added to bricks?
Wedge says:
It works like a decal. You can color the brick behind it any color, even transparent, and apply any special effects you could apply to a normal brick.
dUMBELLS says:
Are there day and night maps in place?
Wedge says:
Yes.
dUMBELLS says:
Are the bricks still catagorized in Bricks and Plates or in Bricks Plates Slopes Special ect. Or is it catagorized differently
Wedge says:
They are still categorized that way.
dUMBELLS says:
Is there a Magic Wand, if there is then what are its modes?
Wedge says:
There is a wand. Currently, it has a smash brick mode, and that is all
dUMBELLS says:
Smash? Isn't that the hammers job?
Wedge says:
It can break bricks that are anchored. Try using the hammer and wand in Vanilla blockland, you will see how it works.
dUMBELLS says:
Has green hills been improved in any way?
Wedge says:
It has been redone, but I've never played it, or even seen it. The original green hills was a test map anyway
dUMBELLS says:
How has the kitchen been improved, a user on the forums asked if there was a mousehole with cheese
Wedge says:
The kitchen was originally designed by someone else, I was pretty sure Chronic did it, but maybe I'm confused. Anyway, it looks better, it has exterior terrain, lots of neat hiding places, and some nice lighting.
dUMBELLS says:
Are there any new maps?
Wedge says:
Kitchen, Bedroom, Dark Bedroom, and Slate
dUMBELLS says:
Slate?
Wedge says:
Its a big building spot, floating in the sky. If you have seen the huge ice castle build, that is the map.
Wedge says:
It is also the map the maze was built on
dUMBELLS says:
Oh, kinda like RTB's lava map without the lava and red fog, right?
Wedge says:
More like astro's Digital Designer map, with the exception that instead of using a huge stretched block, he uses an interior.
dUMBELLS says:
Are recordings still in the game?
Wedge says:
I'm not sure. I haven't been able to figure out how to use it.
dUMBELLS says:
How did badspot get the backround to have buttons with only text
Wedge says:
Err
Wedge says:
There are tutorials to do that on Garage Games, I belive.
dUMBELLS says:
What sections of a minifig can you customize?
Wedge says:
Hands, legs, arms, torso, pack, face and body decal, and hat.
dUMBELLS says:
Crotch?
Wedge says:
crotch=torso.
Wedge says:
Its called torso in-game.
dUMBELLS says:
oh
dUMBELLS says:
Does the minifig's head seem to get in the way, seeing its bigger then the current head
Wedge says:
Kaphix's image was a huge exageration. When you are in first person, you don't notice any differenece. In third person, the head is proportional to the rest of the body, its just not a cylinder anymore.
dUMBELLS says:
What version is retail in right now?
Wedge says:
18.
dUMBELLS says:
Do you think clans should exist in retail?
Wedge says:
That is up to people. After Counter-Strike went retail, clans didn't all of the sudden die out.
Wedge says:
I think you could easily use the unique game keys to create a clan manager, where you could post simple messages and bullitens, and a clan browser, where people can post ads for them.
dUMBELLS says:
Is rotating in retail possible, I know that stretching isn't
Wedge says:
By pressing 9 or 7, you rotate the brick by 90 degrees. All other brick transformation, translation, and rotation features are for modders to add.
dUMBELLS says:
What are some of the properties you can give a brick?
Wedge says:
Particle emiters, direction you want the particle to travel in, dynamic light properties, flashing, glowing, jello, pearl, chrome, and swirl.
dUMBELLS says:
Pearl, chrome, and swirl?
Wedge says:
pearl and chrome are lighting effects, they make the brick appear shiny. Swirl looks sort of like an emergency light on a police car.
dUMBELLS says:
What is the difference between pearl and chrome?
Wedge says:
I guess you would need to see them in game, they are fairly similiar.
Wedge says:
Chrome gives stuff a metalic reflective look, and pearl looks like... a pearl.
Wedge says:
Just the way the light glistens on the brick from certain angles
dUMBELLS says:
Mabye you could get a video of it soon, is there a help menu?
Wedge says:
Getting a video ingame depends of if the minifig chest glitch is fixed, and most people don't really care about the guis, its easier just to tell you what they do. I can't remember if the game has its own help manaul yet, but I'm starting it, and I'll paste in sections if it does have one.
dUMBELLS says:
The minifig chest glitch?
Wedge says:
Its something wierd with the chest not rendering, and a wierd smearing effect occurs.

dUMBELLS: Alright I'm going to ask some questions about a few things that may be hard to answer.
dUMBELLS: You ready?
Mocheeze: Ok, I'll do my best to answer. :)
dUMBELLS: Do the horses lag at all?
Mocheeze: I've never experienced any lag from horses, so I'd have to say they don't lag at all.
Mocheeze: The bedroom map loads with 4 horses, and I've never seen or heard of any problems with them.
dUMBELLS: Are there any secrets in the kitchen?
Mocheeze: Yeah, there are plenty of hidden areas to find. Some will take a lot of exploring. The bedroom has its fair share of secret areas too.
dUMBELLS: Did Badspot get rid of The Slopes map?
Mocheeze: I haven't seen him host it yet, but I know he has plans to make more maps, so I can't say whether slopes will or won't be in the final version.
dUMBELLS: Wedge told me in another interview that Badspot redid the Green Hills map, has he hosted it?
Mocheeze: That part of the interview actually confused me, since I haven't heard anything about Green Hills being remade for retail. I've never seen it, but it's possible that Wedge might have heard something I didn't. I do remember Badspot saying that the Green Hills in v0002 was just a little test map that Badspot whipped together.
dUMBELLS: How does the new appearance GUI work?
Mocheeze: Well, you can select every individual piece and assign a color to it. Every piece has its own preview, and then you have a 3d preview of the assembled minifigure, which you can rotate and zoom. You can also randomize all of the colors, and keep color symmetry between pieces like the arms, or the legs.
dUMBELLS: Have you've tested the engine's limits yourself?
Mocheeze: What do you mean exactly?
dUMBELLS: Have you've tested how many bricks the engine could hold before it crashed?
Mocheeze: Of course, haha. I don't remember how many bricks it takes before stuff begins to lag, since Badspot is always making improvements with every new release. It's probably hard to commit to a final number anyway since there are more factors that have to be considered besides just the raw number of bricks. Some bricks have more polygons than others, some maps might have more polygons, and the number of people in a server probably effects the resources available too. I can say with confidence that retail is much more efficient than v0002.
dUMBELLS: Is there a persistance system?
Mocheeze: There is a saving system, yes.
dUMBELLS: Is it different then rtb's saving system?
Mocheeze: Any admin can upload a save file, and anyone on a server can save the bricks. It's way more efficient than the out-dated persistence system that RTB uses.
Mocheeze: I'll just add that we're going with a new saving system in RTB 1.05. :)
dUMBELLS: What are some of the worse bugs you've seen, I know the minifig chest glitch.
Mocheeze: Well, it's hard to say, since Badspot just fixes the bugs right away when we find them. I'd say the worst bugs are when people get dropped from the server. One time, Badspot went through 3 versions in one night to fix a problem where only one person could join the server, and the rest just timed out after they spawned.
dUMBELLS: Its good that Badspot takes the time to fix these.
Mocheeze: That's the whole reason why we test it in the first place. :)
dUMBELLS: Is Badspot concentrating on editing or adding new things?
Mocheeze: Both, I'd say. He has a massive list of features "To-Do/Done" that all beta testers can see. It's a mix between optimizations, new features, and bugs. I know he has other things that he's working on that aren't in that list too.
dUMBELLS: In the thread, "Blockland Retail Beta Screenshots", can you explain some of the shots?
Mocheeze: Sure, just tell me which ones. I'd be happy to.
dUMBELLS: Ok lets start with screen #10
Mocheeze: Could you provide me with links? I want to make sure I have the right ones.
dUMBELLS: Alright, #10 is http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/screenshot_00334.png
Mocheeze: This is from an early version of a town we've been making. The building looked like a Scientology temple ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology ), so I built that sign using 1x1s and brick prints.
Mocheeze: That "temple" is now a museum.
dUMBELLS: I saw in Badspots video
dUMBELLS: Shot #11 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/screenshot_00341.png
Mocheeze: We built a financial district (like Wall Street) in a secret area of the bedroom. In that pic you're looking at the entrance (which comes through the back of a bank). We made it a requirement that all people wear suits when they're in the financial district.
dUMBELLS: Shot #13 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/screenshot_00345.png
Mocheeze: We built a platform in the middle of the grass field around the bedroom house.
dUMBELLS: What is Badspot using?
Mocheeze: That's the bow. I accidentally messed up my textures, so it looks a little odd. It's supposed to be all brown.
dUMBELLS: Shot #16 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00326.png
dUMBELLS: I can also see a secret in that shot
Mocheeze: Badspot built a menacing looking tower, and I took a picture of Rotondo posing in it. He looks pretty, doesn't he?
dUMBELLS: Yeah not scary in any way shape or form... :P
dUMBELLS: Shot #18 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00330_g.png (This might take a lot of explaining)
Mocheeze: Ummm, no comment. That's personal. ;)
dUMBELLS: Shot #24 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00354.png
Mocheeze: There were skis at the top of the kitchen's roof, so we made an icy looking ramp and half-pipe to do stunts from. It was always a big deal when we'd land upright on the ground below.
dUMBELLS: Shot #25 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00357.png
Mocheeze: You'll have to ask Rotondo about his private businesses. I can't comment on whether he's shopping in a love store, or whether he's selling himself in the store.
dUMBELLS: Shot #26 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00359.png
dUMBELLS: I see pictures on the fridge.
Mocheeze: Yup, isn't Badspot a beatufil artist? Hehe.
dUMBELLS: "Attack of the green blob" anyway Shot #27 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00373-2.png
dUMBELLS: "love"
Mocheeze: Some how I knew you were going to ask about this one. We found some exloits that could be done in the chat, so Rotondo decided to post some pictures that can be used as brick prints. That bug's gone now.
Mocheeze: You can see where we say "Good thing we are finding this now, and not later."

Mocheeze: We've made lots of mazes. Good times. :)
dUMBELLS: Shot #33 (Badspot blowing bubbles ???) http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00396.png
Mocheeze: Yup. When you spray effects onto bricks, they have different particles than when you spray colors. That's what badspot was doing here.
dUMBELLS: Can't wait to spray fire >:D
Mocheeze: You can't spray fire. You have to use the wrench to set fires. That would be an awesome mod though, haha.
dUMBELLS: Shot #34 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00397.png
Mocheeze: The jello bricks in action. Just picture me giving a patriotic speech to a group of soldiers, or Vietnam protesters (judging by my clothes).
dUMBELLS: Shot #36 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00400.png (I see a lighting problem)
Mocheeze: Badspot catching some rays on his private beach. Nice speedo!
dUMBELLS: Shot #39 http://returntoblockland.com/mocheeze/retail/pics/batch2/screenshot_00404.png ( I suspect Rotondo for some reason)
Mocheeze: This is what happens when you go AFK in retail Blockland, haha.
dUMBELLS: Well thats it for the shots, I'm going to ask a few more questions and we'll be done.
Mocheeze: Sounds good.
dUMBELLS: Are you planning on Retail RTB?
Mocheeze: Definitely.
dUMBELLS: Badspot says he has a new file type, what is it for exactly?
Mocheeze: The bricks use a new file format designed by Badspot. It's designed to be more efficient for rendering in the engine apparently.
dUMBELLS: I've already asked wedge this, but do you think Retail Blockland is worth your money?
Mocheeze: Without a doubt. I've already gotten many days worth of play-time from v0002, and I think that alone is worth my $20, let alone all the good times I'll be having in retail and its added features.
Mocheeze: I'll probably end up buying it for some friends too, if I have some extra money around.
dUMBELLS: Well its been a nice time talking with you, I hope RTB goes well.
Mocheeze: Thanks, and good luck with the site!

And a LOL pic from Wedge:

U$$R stands for United Senior Scientologists Range, all you need to get in is 2,000 e-monies and to invest and be in U$$R for 20 years, in return you will win 100 e-monies and have a chance to go to mars*.
There is another way, however, to get into U$$R. We are looking for build applications to help entertain some of our older scientologists, if you make one good enough you might get in after being brainwashed.
*You will be chosen from a hat to judge wether or not you win these prizes. We will not pay for your trip to mars.

AoT Clan Discussion / Neutral Group
« on: June 19, 2006, 06:24:24 PM »
About

The Neutral Group is a clan of neutral players and cops that protect and serve AOT players for a minimal fee, they are also people that will give justice to players
not following the laws we work off of, these include;

Killing anyone that crosses your path is cause for jailing
or a large fine given out by the marshal.
No one wants a player screaming and cursing in the chat,
we will send out members to find and jail you / make you pay
a fine given out by the marshal.
Helping a criminal get away from police is reason to punishment
by jailing or paying your fine.
If we can’t jail you / make you pay your fine then we have reason
to kill or prevent you from committing anymore crimes.

2.   NG Bank
3.   NG Complaint
4.   xxkatiexx
5.  Techpriest

Pay

Members of the Neutral Group will be paid depending on how much
they pay NG Bank, the variables are;

gp paid x 1.5 = what we’ll pay you

Example:
A member pays 500 gp

500 gp  x  1.5  =  750 gp

We do not accept amounts over 900 gp.

Other
We do not have enemys, only criminals and criminal clans are real enemys.
You can send your complaints to NG Complaint, you can also tell us if
a member is being hard on you.

AoT Clan Discussion / -MW, Most WANTED-
« on: January 29, 2006, 05:44:21 PM »
MW is a clan that deals with people that want to be on the most wanted list, people that have been on the most wanted list, and people that already are. MW was founded by me, I was in the CK clan which was a tough group of crinimals, I am looking to expand what it was by creating the MW clan. If you want to sign up join the IRC channel, it is irc.centralchat.net and #MW. There we will provide you with training that will turn you from being a good crinimal to a excellant crinimal. We will give you good places to hide out and stump cops.

AoT General / CK Rules, stop going against it.
« on: January 17, 2006, 09:04:42 PM »
This is CK dUMBELLS speaking, and I'd like to say that all of the people that make clans against us are total idiots, all they want is to be the best, too bad we already are, I just saw two clans against us, and god you guys are brave I'd admit, but incredibily stupid. I'm getting tired of all of this, you are the immature ones, I mean, you make schedules to go on a, "CK hunt," although no matter how much we are killed, no matter how much we are jailed, we won't stop. I took one hour in jail, I don't care though, it won't ever bring me, or our clan, down.
