Help / Launcher downloads all default files every time

This has been going on for a few days now. Every time I start Blockland with the shortcut the launcher downloads all default files.

My speedkart track uses custom prints and bricks so for ease of use I'd like to package them into the Speedkart_*.zip add-on. How would I do this?

It doesn't recognize them as print bricks.
Edit: Brainfart. More specifically the printfill mode doesn't always work. Sometimes it does, other times the tool doesn't recognize the terrain bricks as print bricks.

An idea that first was formed while messing around in Dezcaban's server. Built in Pablo's Lego Server (thus the colors) but I noticed while testing it in singleplayer that it had a few impossible parts so I fine-tuned it a bit. Now it's theoretically possible to complete it (yes even the scissor part near the top) but it's practically impossible to do it in one try. I don't feel like spending any more time on it so here's the save. Feel free to add checkpoints of some sort. It's designed to work with the default jeep, only uses default bricks, and it works with any colorset. 140 bricks. If you dare try a vehicle which doesn't have the instant space bar brake, you are going to die in real life from pure hatred towards life and existence.





Serving suggestion: Singleplayer only, avoid multiple jeeps on the course at the same time. Use salt in moderation when served with soups.

I'm in need of two scripts.

1) Playing custom player animations with configurable keys. For example setting a key in the controls to play a kick animation.
Addendum: A client sided a script that adds a new line to the controls list in the options. For example a kick option that you could bind to K and when you are using my player type in-game and press K the kick animation plays.

2) Double jump. When you press the jump key the jump animation plays. If you press the jump key again within 500ms of pressing the jump key a double jump animation plays and you gain a velocity boost upwards. (I can do the velocity boost myself.)
Addendum: A script that detects that you have pressed the jump key in the last 500ms + you are currently in air. If true: play double jump animation. If false: do regular jump action.

I have a custom player model with custom animations I have made that uses a custom player type I created. I don't need anyone to create a model, animation, or a player type. None of this has anything to do with the default Blockhead player. I need a script.

Because I could have sworn there was a weapon that did the red ACOG sights or similar with a transparent texture. Can any of you think of a model that uses textures in one way or another like text or a logo somewhere?

Since only a select few read the 3D model thread I'll crosspost it here. Zeblote had the bright idea of baking ambient occlusion into textures and putting it in-game. Ambient occlusion is the general make-anything-look-realistic button in 3D rendering.

Alrighty then. Here's what baked ambient occlusion looks like in Blockland. The minor banding visible is caused by GIF compression. It looks fine in Blockland.

Both screens at minimum texture quality.

One 256x256 texture per color. No problem with 2-3 colors but if you have more it might increase the loading time with a dozen seconds at worst. Colorshifting works.

I'd like to test this properly so if anyone wants their upcoming Blockland model/released add-on done in this style let me know.


I think this could look awesome on vehicles.

I just found this video and stuff really hits the fan at the three minute mark. Does anyone know if this is fake? The dude in Skype is his friend or something? I have hard time believing this is a real interview. This guy is just terrible. Absolutely terrible. Please tell me this fake. Please.

Edit2: 10 minutes in. It's a joke. I refuse to believe this is a real situation. My cringe levels have gone off the charts and right into infinity. There's speculation that it's a reboot since no official source has called the game Mirror's Edge 2. It has been just called "Mirror's Edge™". I'm fine with an origin story but I hope they don't start rewriting things.

Modification Help / Temporarily replacing the player light?

I would like to temporarily replace the player light (not mount the light, but simply change what light is mounted when the light is turned on) when a specified image is mounted. I have no idea where to start. Can someone help me?

Modification Help / Chargeable weapon with changing projectile damage

I believe SpaceGuy's "Polar star" (or something like that) weapon did this. Basically a weapon that you charge by holding down the fire button and the projectile damage depends on how long you held down the key. The final stage would fire a completely different and the most powerful projectile. I really have no idea how to make this.
