I'm not really seeing the problem here. I'm assuming the textures are mapped on the sky reversed, it should not be a problem. However, where the game gets the "cloud1" and "cloud2" textures, is beyond me. As for the sky "cutting off", that is because your texture for the top sky plane is a black starry sky which does not blend at all with the light sky on the other planes. On the other hand if you are referring to the city buildings being under the horizon, that's how skyboxes work. Half of the image is mapped under the horizon, half of it above. Your only problems are crappy low quality textures and the wrong top sky texture. Nothing technical.

If your models rely on colorshift why not colorshift the item too?
As far as I can tell you have to colorshift both.
Yes. That is exactly what I am doing. The problem here is that colorshifting the item also colorshifts the inventory icon. In this case the icon would be have red blood and red blockhead. I would like it to have red blood and white blockhead which I cannot have if I colorshift the icon. I guess I will have to go with less awesome inventory icons then.

I though the only two slots you could mount to were head and right hand? In case of hats head is the only logical one because if you were to activate the hat would fly off.

This is rather annoying. The colorshift value that colors the inventory icon also colors the item when spawned. Can I not color the inventory icon? My icons have two colors and most certainly should not be recolored.
