I'm Athiest, I tolerate all religions.
Same. As long as they aren't shoving their teachings down my throat that is.

Half of this thread is now Christianity vs. science and not sharing ones religious views.

They have no data on the big bang, there is only a theory the scientists pulled out of there asses because they wanted something else to believe.
Oh there is plenty of data of Big Bang. It is not just some crazy theory pulled from someone's ass like "First there was this huge horde of zebras that shat out unicorns that eat rainbows and they all died and formed the universe".

Here's some data for you.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang#Observational_evidence

Then there are of course dozens of websites and published books with a lot more data.

Why cant you people understand, im calling his logic handicapped because im talking about the earth not loving people.
Do you think i mean someone 17 cm taller than a child? forget no the entire earth meaning its atmosphere being closer, jumping up is nothing like the earth moving. By your logic jumping = Moving the earth.
Oh so that's what you're talking about. You think that if this planet was 17 centimeters closer to the sun Earth's atmosphere would ignite due to the heat and with that burn the entire planet's surface into a barren rock?

Sorry to poke hole in your theory but:
Yes. Earth's orbit is elliptical and the distance to sun varies between 147,098,290 km and 152,098,232 km. Exact variance is 4,999,942 km. (I said 10 million kilometers in my post above which is wrong.)
And this stuff has been proven by science. Like proven proven, not a theory or some thing. It is an actual fact.

You already said this.

And in response to the multiuniverse theory - where did the energy come from?
And you didn't read it. I have no idea. As I said the multiverse theory is quite complex. From my point of view the multiverse is the actual reality that has been in existence forever. It's kind of hard to grasp these things. Kinda like our universe is a box in a large storage room full of boxes and every now and then a new cardboard box pops into existence and sometimes one disappears. Except that storage room is infinite in time and has existed forever and will exist forever which in fact means nothing because time does not exist there in a manner we understand if at all. Yeah sometimes it hurts my head trying to explain these things.

you do know the earth's orbit isnt perfectly distanced as it goes around the sun right?
we are talking like many miles difference at different dates (i dont have it on hand)

plus every year we do get further from the sun as is.
Yes. Earth's orbit is elliptical and the distance to sun varies between 147,098,290 km and 152,098,232 km. Exact variance is 4,999,942 km. (I said 10 million kilometers in my post above which is wrong.)

Wow, not loving people being 17 cm closer the entire earth smartass.
If the whole earth were to be 17 cm closer our water would evaporate and trees would die and we would run out of oxygen, not to mention stuff being on fire.
No. That is stupid. And there is difference between the person being 17cm closer or the planet. By your logic that person would indeed burst into flames if he were 17cm closer to sun which means jumping or going up a ladder or say anywhere above sea level.

Thank you, this shows how the Earth was put in a perfect position. Draw it on a map and if you make a larger or smaller eclipse, we surpass the "liveable" area.

No history class for you? Religion was the initial belief in the world.

It has been proven that if we were something like 17 cm closer to the sun the earth would be too hot to be inhabited and if we were that far back it would bee to cold.
No. It has not been proven. That is absolutely ridiculous. Earth's distance from sun varies with over 10 million kilometers every year. 17 centimeters is nothing.

By that logic, if I stood on a ladder at high noon (putting me 10 feet closer to the sun directly above me), I would cease to be in a habitable area. The next time I burst into flames when cleaning my gutter I'll tell you.
Exactly. It's ridiculous.

Why creating something imperfect and watch it millions of years to see if it probably will work out at least once on its own?
If time is irrelevant to you. The Christian god is said to have existed forever. I think I can safely assume that time does not exist or is irrelevant to this multidimensional being.

people want to believe that because they want to take away the responsibility of their own lives.
its easy to accept that you suck in life, if you can turn around and say its not your fault.
pathetic lol
I agree on this.

I'm asking where the atoms that began the Big Bang came from.
There are several theories of this existence outside our universe. Some call it multiverse. A space that holds several universes. One theory suggests that in multiverse there are these small atom sized "seeds" of energy that once irritated by the natural energy fluctuations in multiverse cause a Big Bang. I might fund you the video explaining this theory if you're interested.

It is a difficult question as we cannot see that far back in time or outside our own universe yet but as I said there are several theories that suggest that there is something outside our universe.

Thank you, this shows how the Earth was put in a perfect position. Draw it on a map and if you make a larger or smaller eclipse, we surpass the "liveable" area.

Think about these things though... The Earth was placed at the perfect distance from the sun to sustain life - chance? A few miles more or less and human life would be impossible. That's only one example of the many miracles that seem extremrly unlikely to have occurred by chance alone.
Argh. Every time I hear that argument it ticks me off. Of course to us it seems like this really amazing thing that we are just at the right distance from a star where it is not too cold and not too hot. That is because life as we know it cannot exist at any other distance from a star! Every start has it's own habitable zone around it at which water can exist as liquid. Planets that have orbits within that zone are the only ones that, as far as we know, can support intelligent life. So there can't be any humans around in some barren rock planet thinking "Well this sucks, we are way too far away from our star so it's freezing in here" because they would not be able to exist in such a planet.

Makes perfect sense.
Brainfart. No it would not mean he created himself but it would mean that our space-time already existed before the Christian god created it. More problems for Christianity so it's safe to say he would be in another reality/dimension.

I love how religious people think that god was some spaceman floating in vacuum who decided to create everything.
No. That would be stupid. If god was a real entity he would most likely exist in an entirely different reality and/or dimension. He could not be floating around in what we call space because according to Christianity he created space from nothing. That would mean he created himself.

Also don't mind me throwing around my pastime science and religion knowledge. I'm not an actual hobbyist of either of these, just merely a dude who's interested in them. So everything I post here might not be 100% accurate.

I still wish Atheists would answer me this: How was everything created from nothing?
Are you asking where our universe came from or in what kind of space-time the "seed" of Big Bang was before it occurred creating our universe?
