i reloaded bricks in an attempt to fix ownership problems, let me know if anything got screwed up, also i increased the brick count to 140k

Diggy, I think a change should be made in the way EXP gets earned for non-criminal and non-laborer jobs: as EXP is earned right now, it promotes corruption and crime, and makes a clean city seem a bad thing for jobs which should, by nature, want it.

For instance, police are given exp if they arrest criminals, which means that during times of peace, they get absolutely no positive reward: they only get anything positive if criminals are still at large!

Similarly, firefighters are only given exp when they are fighting fires. I have been a firefighter myself, and have actually asked people to set the city on fire in order to get exp. This also makes firefighters wish to be fighting larger, harder-to-extinguish fires, in order to get more chances at earning exp. The result is delayed fire response and slow firefighting.

I propose that for jobs like firefighter and police officer, every tick where there are no online criminals, or there are no fires, respectively, they get a random chance at receiving exp. Perhaps even, if possible, the longer the server remains calm, the greater the chance at exp.
good ideas, once we figure out some non-crime ways to get exp we can include something like this.

the fence name was changed in an update someone made to that brick pack, so theyre all gone, i might need an admin to do a save brick / reload them to restore ownership. if you think you can do it let me know and we can co-ordinate it, however i'll be gone for a couple days working. I'll need you admins to do most of the spam clearing work until i can get back on, but give players an extra week before you demo their stuff because they might not know the server is up again and its not fair to demo stuff because of that. Anyways, Jasa will never be happy, and i think we can all agree we'd be happier without him, i mean, the server is up and running in half the expected time, and still all we have is complaints.

also yeah i forgot pills and 4x4f print, ill put them in next update. i might modify dediload so if it finds a trigger, it will make any brick inside it owned by the trigger owner, i might need mctwist or truce to help with this one. this will fix the ownership problems however it will mess up secret lots so some sort of solution will have to be made for that, maybe smaller or special triggers for secret lots (yes this means secret lots would have to be added unless some otehr solution is made).

the problem might also be fixed in dedisaver, because saving bricks through blockland manually is the only way to fix this problem, it must be an error or something in dedisaver itself, not agreeing with the lot bricks probably. I'll have to put all these things on the list and work on them next chance i get.

edit: i made the server password "watermelon", once you change everything you can use the eval script to remove the password, or IGSO just type in $$pref::server::password = "";

sorry, changed the save file name so it doesnt get overwritten somehow by the saver, also makes a good milestone save to have, so youll have to type in /dediload Trenton Island

I was just on it, i have some time to load it up, send me a save file.

Also: We need trueno's colorset. The server is using the default.

Also: There is no duplicator and the weapon/tools slot is only 5.

i will fix these things, then, when it has been restarted i need you to change the map to slate sea dynamic sky and type in /dediload metropolis rp #48

dont leave until its done, and if ownerships are screwed up you can either save all the bricks yourself, then upload it to the server through bl or by emailing it to me, or you can say screw it and make everyone sell themselves their lots.

Well, the server is up, running on Wizz's server with some restrictions, however i can't join to load bricks so we'll have to wait for another admin to do it.

ok so wizz just forgot about me for a short while, but he sent me all the information I need to have it running in a couple days. He has some limitations for us though: 15 players and probably no phys vehicles so we don't rape the crap out of his server's cpu. Phys vehicles might be restricted to certain jobs which dont exist yet but might some day like pilot and mechanic.

Sorry about the delay guys, wizz was just about to send me the info for hosting on his server, but never got around to it I guess. I might be able to afford to buy facechild's old pc in either 2 or 4 weeks, which would easily be able to run everything needed. I'll keep trying wizz until then or try another temp host, but this motherboard definitely isnt up to hosting the whole city anyways

Yes, my good motherboard got fried, the cpu fan didnt run after installing the new power supply and burned it out. Looks like I'll be getting a new (if not somewhat older) motherboard in the next couple weeks. I'll start bugging Wizz to let me use his server in the mean time, however, another admin is going to have to load the bricks and act as host until i get a decent enough mobo+vid card combination to run BL. Thanks for being patient.

It's been saving for a while, are you wondering if it uses the saved location on spawn?
