Turn on the save clips option. When its on I get a lot less fps.

I didn't know about that. I'll have to look for that later.

Just turn that off if the FPS is too low to be enjoyable and F2 after something interesting happens.

If you're talking about saving clips, don't you just hit F2 and it saves the last 30-60 seconds or so as a clip instantly?

Not that bad. Do you get a huge fps drop when you have the recorder on? I lose at least 20fps on average.

The Video Editor's rendered videos go to Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\Videos\rendered. You technically don't need any recording software to make GTA IV videos.

I'll also use a few of the default saves toward the beginning. It sort of transitions from demo to single player to multiplayer stuff.


If I get enough of those small builds together I could definitely do

It's a nice waffle but I'm looking for larger, explorable type things. Single items such as a waffle won't work as well.
