how good is it for modern games? like l4d2, borderlands, mw2, minesweeper, the basics.
reading numbers off of reviews dont really match up with real performance.

im gonna grab a like-new one from storage. and dunno if i should deal with it as my laptop external card, or give it away.

cubes, water, and baseplates of course. nothing to fancy for sake of brick count.

i say a slate map would start with a 4x4 64plate area.
that begins as public baseplate. public build lot. no one can add to the landscape, nor destroy it. just build upon it.
and it slowly spawns cubes, water and baseplates, and expands out. opening more build area and space for the developing server.

im sure picking a speed setting is fine, though i would prefer very slow on that month long dedicated game.

and just for shiggles, even allow it to randomly make terrain types and landscape-landmarks to keep things interesting.

just a wild idea im tossing around.

ive dropped the vidock idea. as the best one only supports like a 250w vid card. but i found this page online, with links to where to buy these parts.

nerds discuss plz


this was my alternative idea as i put a desktop build on hold till newer intel sockets are on the way.
the current lappy runs on a quad 3.2, with 6gigs of 1800 ramz. all i lack is a proper vid card. as the notebook's nvidia 330m, is mediocre.

no i do not care that you dumb kids are always hitting on my gf. i dont care if you have possible dirty pics of her. i dont care if she flirts with you, shes friendly and spontaneous, im sure some of you think that means girls are in love with you.

however;
every one of you is my "friend" on the side. while shamelessly giving your hopes and dreams to her emotionally, then flipping the chat tab over to me to talk about games and parties. im not stupid.

a hint for you guys that arent experienced with dating and flirting with girls.
chicks do NOT respond positively to:
*cuddles
*hugs
*snuggles

and all the other roleplaying you do in a chat. that stuff creeps girls out and your chances are shot. you should learn this now.

your odds at getting tits are not gained over a long time of eflirting and fake friendship and trust gaining.
the chick has decided right from the start what kind of guy you are; and pictures later on are just you getting what you are deserved.

quad channel ddr3?
pcie 3.0 (for x79; server boards yes for Q4 2011, consumer boards not till Q1 2012 models - not confirmed.)
