Simply, the projectiles aren't registering.  I have looked through the console already, and nothing has showed up.  I will check it with trace(1); enabled to check if I missed something.

File path:

            .../ARC_XMPack.zip/MM_RPG/Tool_MM"".cs

Anything with "Tool_MM(Something).cs" is not working for some reason.  The sounds and effects (explosions, emitters and damagetypes) are included in Resource_Sounds.cs and Resource_Effects.cs, respectively.

Naturally, I would like to get the projectiles and their events working normally.

Wind:

Back in the old <v20 versions, servers used to have wind, which affected particles based on their wind coefficient.  So far, I haven't seen any wind on maps that affect particles.  I would really like to see this feature back in Blockland in the form of a few sliders in the environment controls, much like the ground and water scroll options.

Along with this, it would be nice to see a control for this added to the environment events pack.

Precipitation Density:

In the current environments that we have, the precipitation density is described by the atmosphere file.  Unfortunately, this is not customizable from the environment GUI.  I would like to see this as a slider.

Events with this would be nice as well.

Precipitation Particle:

This is my final suggestion in this thread:  Ability to change the particle through a menu.  Some maps come with rain, and if I wanted it to snow, I wouldn't be able to.

Events would also compliment this well.

I would like to see these as default in the environment men, as they seem elementary enough to include.

Yes this is a request for a modification on BLF.

When searching for members on the PM system for BLF, there's search by name or email address.  Since BL_IDs are now registered to forum accounts, I would like to see if adding a search feature for BL_ID's could be added.

Not sure if this was already made, but I was wondering if there was already an Add-On for this.

I am making a request if someone could make an Add-On for favorites that would be client-sided and would only allow the host to save environment settings.  It would allow for the name and description, just like normal saving, and would have a folder just like the normal saves folder.  Additionally, it would save a text document that details the settings involved.

Now when I think of it, this sounds like it would have to be implemented into the game in order for it to work.

Modification Help / Emitter not mounting in the right position.

So I am trying to mount the emitter to the engine.  Whatever I put for the mount point, it always goes to the origin.

Well, I'm trying to re-release my Nova maps for Blockland, and tried to use all the other map pack as a guide.  The skies won't seem to enable in-game.  For now I am just using temporary, albeit complete (maybe, idk) .ATMOSPHERE files.

I am making an edit of the Artillery Beacon for personal use.  I am trying to make it so it fires only one laser directly at the point at which the beacon sends up its smoke.

I'm trying to make it fire from 2000 (height units)* up, sending the beam 200 (velocity rate units)* downward.

We all know if the event CenterPrint, and how it is often used to introduce a new part of a build; for instance crossing from a town to wilderness might be complimented by a CenterPrint event reading "Wilderness".

Blockland's CenterPrint text feature is nice for simple aesthetic, but I feel that transitions in eerie, quiet, melancholic, dark or slow paced conditions are not adequately presented with text that immediately appears on the screen, and then immediately disappears.

I'm wondering if it is possible on Blockland to make a CenterFadePrint event that allows the user to adjust color, duration, and fade in and fade out times.

I could see this being useful in moving from place to place in an RP, pathcam transitions and for time announcements.

Title pretty much explains it.  I really think we should be allowed to have events with delays for longer.  I'm not sure how long, but only 30 seconds is a bit short.

60 seconds would be good.
90 seconds would be better.
120 seconds would be even better.

And so on.  The more time allowed would make for some better even customization.  Firing a chain of relays seems annoying and unnecessary.

I would really like to see an advanced version of the 2D Camera mod.

Instead of NESW, pitch and distance, it should be:

Theta:  Rotation about the character horizontally.
Phi:  Rotation about the character vertically.
Delta:  Distance from player and camera.
Alpha:  Rotation about the axis created by Theta and Phi.
Gamma:  Field of View.

Also maybe a check box to allow players to freelook from their camera by holding down their freelook keybind.  Relative to player's normal free look camera.

Grace Period:

The grace period is a condition that is set on nations that have just joined the game and are waiting to be fully added in.  Upon joining, you are automatically put on grace period.  Please wait for me to add you to the map and OP.  You may roleplay passively during this time with other nations.  You may not under any circumstances start a war with another nation.  Any other nation is not allowed to start a war with you either.  Any violation of this term could consist of a warning, a suspension of your nation, or removal of your nation from the thread.

Note:  The grace period does not mean that you will be invariably accepted.




Rules:

Rules vary for owning two nations.  See conditions below the general rules board.

Please comply to all rules as stated.  Do not attempt to euphemize them to your advantage.
Please stick to an appropriate timeframe.  For example, trying to establish a communist regime in 1122, when the theory didn't even exist, would not be permitted.


You may*:

  • Start wars.
  • Create alliances, alliance systems, trading unions, technological advancement unions.
  • Create trade routes or establish trade agreements.
  • Increase your population within reason.
  • Develop new technologies.  Allow reasonable amounts of time for research.
  • Conduct espionage.  You may sabotage operations and trade routes or steal information.  These events must be posted.
  • Expand land claims.  You may expand at a moderate rate.  Be sure to allow for proper transportation.  For instance:  If the fastest way of travel was on horseback, do not request a claim the size of China.

You may NOT*:

  • Make or use any sort of technology that is not a part of the current time period.  I.E.  No lasers.  Yet.
  • Use any Earth historical figures.
  • Post about any "alien civilizations" or help from nonexistent civilizations.
  • Powergame - For example:  Taking land in a war without battling over it.
  • Use WMDs.  Besides the fact that this is the bronze age, this rule is to be decided later.
  • Use Gravitanium.  Besides the fact that this is the bronze age, this rule is to be decided later.
  • Use Telur or Invincium.  Besides the fact that this is the bronze age, this rule is to be decided later.
  • Use Magic.

You MUST*:

  • Please start as a small nation.  Starting population limit is 250,000.  (This rule will change over time)
  • Name your nation something original.
  • This is a roleplay.  You are not required, but are highly encouraged to make events seem more dramatic or exciting.

*For owning more than one nation:

In this thread, I am allowing people to own more than one nation at once, but to avoid any unfair advantages, I am setting rules on this.

  • You have the right to create up to two nations at once.  No more than two at a time.
  • Each of your nations may not have any ties with the other.  This includes war, trade, R&D, or alliance, alliance chain or any other diplomatic circumstance not mentioned here.
  • You can create a secondary nation however you want, whether it be a rebellion from either yours or another nation, or just starting out as a completely new nation.
  • If you dislike one of your nations, and you think you could apply its assets better, then you may invade and conquer it as your preferred nation.  You must roleplay this out somehow.  Powergaming rules are still enforced.
  • Rule number one of this section can be compromised.  For owners of multiple nations:  This rule will be compromised for you if you, by virtue of rule #4 of this section, unite your two nations together, or if you lose both nations.
  • If you have one nation, and it is in a state of war or any hostilities, you may not create a backup nation to get around rule #5 of this section.
  • The secondary nation limit is two per player.  If you have a primary nation that still exists, and your old secondary nation is wiped out, then you may create only one more secondary nation.  Meaning if the new secondary nation dies, you can't make any more secondary nations.
