Torch Light Mod
So instead of the light, I would like the player to pull out a torch, which makes a flame noise (idk, maybe just a fwoosh-y burn sound), and loops a quiet fire sound when it's drawn.  Has a normal fire emitter and lets out a flare-less light with ⅘ the range of the regular light.



Synched Clock Mod
A clock mod that syncs up with the daycycle and evaluates by percentages of the day 0% is midnight, 50% is noon, etc.  Comes with events:

Output:  ifClockTime "percentage" "range"
  • Percentage is the percentage of the day.
  • Range is a range of evens, inclusive.  Ex: "3 6" would evaluate "3 4 5 6", similar to how VCE works.

Input:  onClockMatch (All Targets)
   When the ifClockTime event matches the percentage.
Input:  onClockMismatch (All Targets)
   When the ifClockTime event does not match the percentage.

Suggestions & Requests / [SCRIPT] – Simplified Item Randomizer

A script that randomizes weapons based on what appear on colored scripted bricks.

For instance, have a brick named "Randomizer Brick" that you color differently for each category that you want.  Then, you have an output event that calls for a random item of that color.

So, say you have two randomizer bricks that are orange and two that are cyan.  One orange brick is Gun, and the other is Guns Akimbo.  One cyan brick is Rocket Launcher and the other is Horse Ray.  Now you get into events.

So it's as simple as this:
onMinigameSpawn >> Player >> addRandomItem [color]

And when we apply it to our example:
onMinigameSpawn >> Player >> addRandomItem
onMinigameSpawn >> Player >> addRandomItem

And they then get two items, on from the orange list and one from the cyan list, with the orange group item in the first slot available an the cyan group item in the next.

Based on the color selected in the event, it will choose from among the randomizer bricks of that color.



Other features might include having different bricks for different rarities.

And it would probably be best to have the bricks be simple 2xs[/size]

05/27/16 @ 16:49   Server is now functional and OPEN.  Building has started on the Facility Infiltration CTF.  Picture to be posted later.
05/31/16 @ 16:46   Built some areas already:
  • Entry room with lots of pillars.  Really good place for battles with both ranged and melee.
  • Train bypass area.  Temporary Magnus Foundation spawn.
  • Outside helicopter landing point.  Unfinished Hammilton Co. spawn, but it will be one spawn, potentially one of two.
  • Air filtration room.  Connected other air ducts to this room.  Also has explosive barrels and stuff.  Unfinished, has connection to small office area.
  • Added a bunch of small dead trees on the desert floor.
  • Started on a security camera event system with that office in the hallway.
06/06/16 @ 19:11   Discord server now has a bot.  Jukebox corner is now functional with music-playing capabilities.  Discord rules automated by bot.
06/10/16 @ 04:30   Server has switched focus to Trial by Iron.

Updates to the build include:
  • Completed terrain base.
  • Some wooded areas completed.  Home to healing hyndelberries and savage bears!
  • Tall grass covers the island.
  • Cave added (Godspeed, jitank) with an enemy lizardman who guards chance lootcrates.
  • Axes found lodged in some trees by forgetful or perhaps unfortunate woodsmen.

Help / Server not woking (again)

I used to have problems with running the game before.  A while ago, it would only allow a small amount of datablocks, and now it's not even working.

Note: I'm running with only 2312 datablocks.

Would this error in particular be at fault?:

Basically it's an extension that allows you to automate stuff, where it will automatically replace certain keystrokes with phrases of your choice.  Works very well for managing BBCode here.

For instance, if I wanted to create url tags, all I have to say is [ur, and I get [url=][/url].

Works for other things as well.  For example, I made a set of Cyrillic characters have simple shortcuts. Дд is typed ;d,d in my shortcuts, for instance.

WHAT IS TRIBUTARY?

Tributary is an RP(G) where every person plays as their own character, competing or cooperating with other players at the end of the Stone Age and dawn of the Bronze Age and some millennia after an ice age.  A number of people have recently arrived at this island, an area lush with life.  Characters are permitted freely to create their own tribes and factions and settle down where they want, however, only if dangerous wildlife or hostile people allow you to.




THE MAP
The longest stretch of space from one end of the island to another is about 34 miles.

TIME & WEATHER

Day 1, Early Spring

This mid spring morning, the snow in the valley has receded.  The skies are growing grey and the wind is picking up, blowing SSW.

3 irl day
= 1 sim day, where the cycle is Morning, Afternoon, Night, and repeat.
but also
2 irl weeks = 1 sim season

(Simulated days are mandated so that RP would not be over-accelerated, but seasons are kept moving so that it wouldn't take literally 6 months to change seasons.)




HOW DO YOU PLAY ?

1.     Fill out the following application  (Areas with an asterisk* are required.  You may deviate from this application or format it how you wish so long as the required information is listed.  If you are accepted, you may alter this freely to your preferred format.):

2.     If/when accepted, choose where you start.  You will start with a Stone Axe or a Stone Adze.  To see if you are accepted, check the player list.  If your character is there, then you have been accepted.
3.     Survive.  Only time will tell what is the best method for doing this.  A tested and true method is generally "the more the merrier."



RULES

  • Do not powergame, ass-pull or metagame.
  • You can form tribes if you wish.  You may choose how you select the roles of players within a tribe.  Moderators are not permitted to intervene.
  • Rules can be added or removed, and you will be notified when a change is made.
  • Do not leave the map.  It will be RP'd that you die at sea if you do.
  • If given the opportunity to name something, name it appropriately, please.  Do not name something after something in real life, such as "Americaland" or "Blocklanders."
  • You can only play as a human.
  • If you do not act as your player, your player will act as if idling about.  If you wish to go on a hiatus, you must have a tent pitched in a safe location and you must rest there, otherwise, use the stasis request system available here[To: UFS].  Note that in this game, I will not often accept stasis because it doesn't make very much sense in a game with an active timescale with emphasis on survival.
  • Stasis must be requested in advance, and will not be retroactively applied.  Do not use stasis as a means to simply escape danger.
  • If you go inactive, you will continue your current task for one time segment, then go idle.



THE SYSTEM

Death:     When you die, it's not permanent, but you will be put out of commission for 3 days irl.  After this time expires, you will respawn back at your tribe's main tent (if you are a part of a tribe that has one) or at a random point in the wilderness.
Character Conditions:     If your character has some kind of condition, such as bleeding, poisoning, sickness, etc., the conditions and the ailments will be described when the character takes on this condition.
Hunger & Thirst:     Over time, you will get hungrier and thirstier.  Be sure to keep feeding yourself.
Flora & Fauna:     The flora and fauna of this valley are not known yet.  As you discover things, you will learn how to identify things and find out what they do.
Political:     You as the player are free to create whatever system you want in the game.  Players may or may not agree with you, but that's the fun of it.  Create alliances, conduct trade, make enemies and go to war, all of this is up to the player to choose.
Culture:     In your societies, developing a culture may help to aid your group in solidifying it, as well as potentially manipulating the group's karma.
Reproduction:     Players can reproduce so long as you have a fertile female and a male.  Children will need to be raised and supported.  They will be treated as NPCs.

   Following a close election, the incumbent president Mikael Norbrostovich steps down, replaced by a public figure who has risen in popularity rapidly in only a year before the election.  The new president, Avdahl Kreusche, is elected on January 1, 2022, and sworn in on April 2.  On May 5, just over a month after his election, Kreusche turned the military on the capitol to force a tyrannical regime over the population.  The majority of the population falls under the Osvon National Party created and led by Kreusche, who follow their new leader with blind nationalism.  Although the small nation seems irrevocably in Kreusche’s grasp, a number of factions within the nation openly oppose the National Party, marginally the most prominent being the Osvon Peoples’ Reclamation Militia (PRM).  Although the government is doing what it can to stamp out these groups, they have not yet succeeded.  This turn of events has not resulted in a civil war so far, but signs are beginning to show that the inevitable will come.  It is now August 14, 2023.





You are a member of the PRM, either openly or secretly, and cooperate with other players to take down the leadership of the oppressive ONP.  You may begin as a full member of the PRM, where you may act more openly, or act secretly for the PRM within the ONM, the Osvon National Military, the party-led military force under President Kreusche and General Gradivyo.

Basic Description:
An event-powered polling system that allows players to cast votes to trigger events based on voting results.

                                                                                                                          


     EVENTS     


  • OUTPUT EVENTS:
    • castPoll :: "Poll Name" :: "Poll Effect" :: "Majority Margin" :: "Event Lines Affected" :: "Time in Seconds"
      • Poll Name is the name of the poll.  When a poll is created, it posts a message to Chat Messages to all groups effected.
      • Poll Effect is those who are effected.  Has a checkbox and a text box.  If unchecked, the textbox is ignored, and it sends to poll to everyone on the server.  If checked, it acknowledges the text box.  If the text box is empty, it sends the poll to everyone in the minigame that the brick owner is in.  If the text box, lists a proper slayer team name, then it sends the poll to that team.  If the text box does not contain a valid team name, then it polls all in the minigame.
      • Majority Margin is the percentage of affirmative votes are needed for the poll to pass, from 0-100.
      • Time in Seconds is the duration of the poll.  Can last anywhere from 10-300 seconds.

     FEATURES     


  • Players vote by saying /poll {yes/no}, and vote either yes or no.  Not responding is the same as abstaining, and the vote will not be included any way.  Players can also say /poll withdraw to withdraw their vote.
  • Only one vote can run per effected area.  Additionally, if a poll is running outside of a minigame, it overrules any polls that can be cast inside of a minigame.  Only one poll of the same name can exist at a time.
  • Admins can say /poll cancel [POLL NAME] to cancel a vote, or /poll forceclose [POLL NAME] to force a poll to pass or fail depending on its results at that time.
  • Preferences to change the permissions of who can run polls.  Options include {Everyone, Admins, Super Admins, Host, Minigame Players, Minigame Owners}.  If these settings are set to Minigame Players or Minigame Owners, then the polls cannot be cast outside of minigames unless the player who owns the brick where the event is rooted is allowed to leave the minigame according to slayer settings.  For instance, if Super Admins and Host are allowed to leave the minigame according to Slayer settings, then Admins and normal players cannot create polls that affect players outside of the minigame.
  • Poll limit preferences per permission group.  Number of polls that a player can publish at any given time.  Valid values are all integers ≥0 and "-1", where -1 is unlimited polls at once.  Player groups are Players, Admins, Super Admins, Host, Minigame Players, Minigame Owners.
  • Polls are auto-announced to the effective group.  Message should say something like the following:
