Suggestions & Requests / Brick Search

Hi, I was thinking maybe someone could make like a searchbar for the Brick Selection GUI, where you could type what time of brick you are looking for and it will search for that brick in the tab you are currently in, and if the search is successful it could scroll you down to where the brick is. This could be helpful for people like me with lots and lots of different bricks. Has something like this been already made? Please let me know what you think!

Hi, I know that people have probably thought of this countless times before and what not, but I just thought I should bring it up again. Now that Blockland is stepping it's game up, with new shadows and shaders comin out, new game modes are coming along, and more, I think that havin to use other programs to chat via microphone is kind of lame and behind the times of blockland. Would there be a way for someone to make a client-sided or server Addon that would allow you to like use a keybind and when you hold down the key you can talk with a mic?? Maybe it can be intertwined with IRC and RTB?? I don't just a suggestion. Hope Its possible, thanks!

Help / Blockland randomly quits

Hi, I just bought a new computer and it works perfectly fine and all, so i download blockland on it. After being on any given server after 5 minutes the most. blockland quits and a message pops up just saying blockland quit unexpectedly. i tried uninstalling and compleletly redownloading and everything but it doesnt change anything, blockland still quits after being on the server for like 5 mins the most. PLEASE HELP! Another thing i noticed, i looked in c:>program files>Blockland and i noticed that theres no folders, only three things, blockland launcher, msvcr71.dll

Drama / Circle of life

I think it's funny how the majority of the drama board in the forums is just people talking stuff about other people, people talking stuff about other people for talking stuff about people, people talking stuff about people for they way they talk stuff about other people talking stuff for talking stuff and so on.. And really like all these topics have links placed everywhere to other topics in the drama board, creating one big rotation of topics all talking stuff about eachother and what not. The circle of [no] life. That's what I call the people who endlessly critisize on the way other blocklanders go about being theirselves in their own attempt to have fun. What do you think? About the drama that is not discussed about, but actually even created within the drama board? About the quality of the drama board as a whole?

I'm not saying E is cool or anything, in fact it's horrible no one should ever take it. (luckily I haven't made that mistake yet),Blaze it! but I think it would he funny if someone made am ecstacy pill for blockland. It could use the Pill model, with permission from it's creator perhaps; and it could make your screen blurry and sht or make you hallucinate or something when taken. Idk, just a suggestion....

Graffiti is a real art. Although it may not always be legal, it takes skill and experience to really make it look nice. Post pictures of your graffiti here.

Hey guys, I got bored so I made a Facebook and Myspace account for Penguin/Person!
Lol it's actually pretty funny.
I'm going to take pictures of my guy ingame and put them on his profiles. I have an Eiffel tower save so I could load that, then take a picture with my datablock on it, and say that he's in France lol!

Have you already made a facebook or myspace for your blocko? If so, tell me and I'll add u!

Hi, Im just wondering, is it against the law to jailbreak iPods? If not, is it illegal to jailbreak them for money?

I've gotten the whole jailbreaking thing down, and now that I've done like 5 with no problem, my friends think I should start charging people for it. I told them to not spread the word yet because I'm not sure if it's legal, so hopefully you guys can help me before I continue, thanks!

Building Tips
For Building Realisticly

Tips by Penguin/Person:
When building, your goal is usually to create your build as realistic as possible. That can be done with something called "detail". Lots of detail is good, but sometimes less is more. I also ask questions to myself while I build. Asking questions to yourself while you build can help a lot. You won't have to go back and change stuff so much and you will have more confidence in what you build while you build it. Some of these questions I ask myself are:

•What exactly am I trying to build?
•Will it fit in with the builds surrounding it?
•Does this look like something that would be built in real life?
•Do the colors look well together?
•Would a real building be colored the same way?
•How does my exterior effect my interior?
•How does my interior effect my exterior?
•Do they match?

Once you finish, think about how it looks overall, and what others might say about it.


Tips by Facechild:

• Smoke a massive blunt.
• Start Blockland.
• Start building.
• ???
• Profit.


Tips by Uristqwerty:

• Leave room for adjustment.
• Save often, keep old versions.
• Disable unnessecary non-default add-ons.
• Keep a few administrative tools available.
• if you intend to share your build, try using a common colourset, so that others can get the best results when they load it.


Tips by The Doctor:

• Build on a baseplate
• Use macro (If needed)
• Dont use any small bricks (like 1x1x5, or 1x1 bricks, becuase they will lag)
• Try to use as little lighting, or emitters as possible
• For walls, dont use 2x4's, or 2x2's (or a little as possible), use 1x12x5's, or anything large.
