Actually, i think there's something like a client number in the client-sided recieve chat message command. %a variable (%a,%b,%c,%fmsg, ETC.)
A friend said that %a is the client - but it always returns a number for some reason.

he also said %b and %c were empty.

Wow... that's never happened for ME before. i think i did this once.

Anyways, check your console log for then, if you don't have it try to replicate the error and then send us the console log. There might have been some brick error or something...

Help / Crash glitch making it so i can't host; ghost brick error

Okay, the first thing:
Whenever i try to host, the load works fine.
Then when i get to Object Load and it finishes, blockland suddenly freezes and won't spawn me. It never displays the achievement mod message, or spawn message.
Please help with this... (Yes, i tried only default add-ons including disabling client)
Golden Hawk also gets this error.

Second error:
[Server : A Twig's] [Map : Above]
Okay, i was building a fort, i had a ghost brick out...
and it suddenly disappeared.
Then, i suddenly disconnected with the error message...

Disconnected : Invalid packet. (ghost reading class id)

That was strange. (It hasn't happened again since...)
I checked my console... and found this.

ERROR: fxDTSBrick::unpackUpdate() - could not resolve light ghostIndex
Connection error: Invalid packet. (ghost reading class id)

Please explain why that happened... kthx.

Is this supposed to resemble UnrealSoftware's Stranded / StrandedII?

If so, it has a lot to live up to...

A bug i've seen:
I'm doing stuff and i get overburdened, i get killed and a few secs after i respawn my GUI disappears. Nothing happens when i click stuff, nor can i plant bricks.   I'm sure it wasn't the overburdened/respawn, but please investigate...    this was at 'Blockland OS's' server.

Some suggestions, two from Stranded II:
[A new 'Object Creator' that has a list of models to use, and property-setting. Host only.]

[States of sickness, as listed : Burned, Bleeding, Frac. Bones (from falling), Heavily Damaged (limits movement), Diseased/Poisoned] From SII

[An actual HUD, like in Compass Mod, that shows stats and stuff. Using chat is so... blah.]

[Storages (FROM SII), but here they have locks so only the owner can use them. Used to store stuff.]

['Hunting', more types of trees, make the admin-plantable trees gatherable(the ones in the map, too)]

[Make the 'gather' script work on other maps besides default Stranded maps - it fails at working on maps like GSF or The Slopes]

[Make an eventual Escape possible by building a means of getting off the island. Escapers are brought to a 'lobby' room, where they can hang out, thrive with a bunch of plants, make their dream shelter, or watch others. Escape toggleable in server options.]

[Make server prefs for commands, damage, a mode where tiredness/thirst/hunger/burden is disabled, and a pref to make buildings indestructable (Man it's so annoying when a noob comes and destroys half your camp)]

[OH, and make the wells give you purifiedwater instead of saltwater, and make FriedBananas only cookable on a new Stove brick - and edible. Also, make a Danger Area where a beast or two auto-spawn and stay within the area. Area marked by signs or something]

Well, you COULD use the extremely complicated way and do:

%counterLimit = how long to run the For loop for...;

EDIT : Okay, i'll explain it above...
You put that block in your function or whatever.

%counterLimit = *IN HERE, put how many loops you want it to do.*;

when a player in your server says /DelayedCounterLoop 15 100, it will say an incrementing number every 1sec or so for 15 numbers.

Okay, how would i get that to show the servername with the server's HOST before it?
right now, that just returns 'freebuild' or 'TDM' instead of 'asdfs freebuild' or 'AHaxors TDM'  (Sorry if these are actual blocko names, i just picked random things out of my mind.)

Also, what you said below is for JOINING the server - i need leaving too.

EDDIT : Can i also know how to scan a string for a specific variable? Right now, it's on a nonworking While variable set up rather badly.

What are the args for the command:

clientCmdBottomPrint();

?

I tried entering it with no args in my console so it would tell me, but it didn't.
AND, to you scripters who like to carry stuff over from other cmds, NO, IT'S NOT THE SAME AS CLIENTCMDCHATMESSAGE. There are no clan tags involved... nor a name... nor a need for a full message... but i'm sure there's more than just the message.

You do know how schedule works right?

its schedule(time,this,function,args)

lets say time = 3 seconds

and schedule basically means, in 3 seconds, we will call this function with its arguments!
What, exactly, is 'this'?
'schedule(time,this,function,args)'
