I took a film history class in college and this was one of the films we covered. But instead of just assigning the movie for us to watch, he gave us a choice - watch it as normal, or watch it muted and play the album "Mezzanine" by Massive Attack in the background, starting the movie and the album at the same time. I watched it with the album and it syncs up near perfectly, it's amazing. This is also how I found out the opening theme to House is on this album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7K72X4eo_s

Movie recommendation: check out love Drive. It's like a 6/10 movie but has a lot of funny bits, it's very evocative of mid-to-late 2000s teen raunchy comedies. There's also an uncut version which has 20 minutes of extra footage, mostly consisting of extended nudity gags for no reason, full frontal nudity and naked background extras for no reason, more profanity for the hell of it, etc. It's amazing, I need to rewatch it.

its not a work study, i get actual paychecks that i often use on various things unrelated to college. i also have a good amount of scholarships and other financial aid so im not paying that much semester to semester. also a matter of convenience because i dont have to drive to separate locations / its easier to work around my classes
I did the same thing for a while, I worked as a tutor for my college but it wasn't work study. and it was an open tutoring room, not scheduled tutoring, so I got paid for the time I was available rather than the time I was actually helping ppl. probably more than half the hours I worked over the course of 2 years I didn't actually do any work lmao
crazy how that happens, lol. hey as long as you don't absolutely hate your job and the people you work with, and it pays well, might as well stick with it even if it wasn't quite what you had in mind :)
yea it's a good job, I didn't really have anything in mind and the only other offer I had at the time wasn't great. plus I work from home, pretty solid gig overall

right now I work as a programmer. I used to have a slightly fancier job title but that got changed that not long after I started. I do automation for mail processing, which was absolutely not where I thought I'd end up in my early 20s but tbh this job kinda fell into my lap

Nice. I just started trying to level my RS3 account up, figured I'd get some stats on the double XP weekend
I thought about pushing to 120 herb but with Elden Ring so close I don't want to spend any time on RS tbh

blockland is still a great game, although the community has dwindled over the years. such modability and just plain fun to mess around and build/event stuff - even better w/ a few friends!
definitely one of the games of all time
