All of them are science fiction cultures though.

And besides we are playing a game centered around the usual science fiction aspect of space travel. Having a bunch of different races is cool at first but then it means practically nothing once you become one.

Races like samurai fishes and mayan birds are more charming than that purple reverse-cyclops race that was made because it's just less over-thought, which I think is the most annoying thing about creating a random race.

Either way, original or unoriginal races will end up having the same backstory and roles in the game regardless of whether they came from super unique weird creature land or mayan bird-ville.

Despite what people say about it having alot of things to do, anything besides clearing outposts, unblocking towers, the main story and hunting is just boring.

This game is a must-have though.

No. here's an idea, make an original creature with an original culture.

Try coming up with a semi-origional race that isn't completely handicapped.
