I'm trying to think scientifically about life and death.
I don't see any science anywhere, do you guys??

I hate reading quotes like these.  Too many people these days stretch out the importance of things.
Meh, I really could've been simpler

I just recently went through 3 months of hardcore depression, crying myself to sleep every few nights with negative thoughts. Came back loving life even more, and more religiously strong and active
Yeah I was kinda iffy and depressed about religion for a few days then I pretty much made up my mind about it.

So basically OP is now discovering that everyone dies and life can be considered "pointless".

Learned this and figured out that I want to live life to the fullest anyway before I die when I was 9.
I believe life is given without purpose until the person who's living it gives it purpose.
If you never left your religion you'd probably be a happier person, but the weak willed and easily convinced are more prone to conversion, unless you never actually felt a connection

Yeah.

It seems most "converted" atheists have really stuffty lives, and QQ about it because God won't help them.

Exactly I want to remember. I wish religions were real so I can be one of those hypocritical christians again that go to church, donate, and go home to beat their wives.
I hit myself sooo hard.

yeah, white knighting usually is arguing for the chick so you can get tits

what i'm saying is that you're acting in another's matters even though doesn't really concern you.  why cause trouble?
>the slightest implication you aren't doing the exact same thing but dismissing it as being "neutral"

Alright, what I'm trying to say is that if you can't avoid it, then you should seek help/consider Self Delete/whatever it is you want to do.
With cyberbullying, the whole thing can be avoided by simply clicking the button labeled "X".

When it escalates into real bullying it actually becomes a problem.
You can't solve all your problems by avoiding them.

If someone really liked an instant messaging site, and say, a troll comes on the site and starts degrading the kid, 9 out of 10 times he doesn't want to leave because it was fun until the troll came.

I agree with your views, but I doubt they'll leave.

There's this magical thing called perspective.
Believe it or not, maybe the guy doesn't think he's being a douche?

Your argument is pretty much, "If we never invented weapons, no one would have been killed!"
People will be how they want to be.
If they want to be a douche, let them be a douche; in reality they're only hurting themselves.
That's an irrational perspective.

How can the guy who bullies someone constantly act like it's not effecting him?
If he wants to be a douche, he had better be a douche with someone that will actually tolerate his stuff.

You're saying "If he's a douche, he can be a douche, you just have to avoid him, even though he's the one seeking to bully the kid."

it's not that easy to simply avoid bullies.

My view on cyber bullying

Get-get-get-get over it. Seriously, I agree with fred, if their parents aren't going to teach their kids that getting called named and picked on once in a while is part of life then they will do stupid stuff.
Parents don't alwasy handle how the kids react to name calling. Also, it's not being "picked on once in a while" it's being bullied to the part where they don't want to deal with people anymore.

Respect, yes. PacifCIAm, no. Violence is a part of human nature. If people don't want to talk about it, they'd fight instead. Although I think students should have a more controlled way physically to vent anger on one another.
