You have to know what you're doing, and a lot of stuff is still broken because of how recent it is. If you want to be able to basically entirely use your phone, I wouldn't do the switch yet until things are worked out.
Yup, you just use RSD Lite and find the factory version of Android (an SBF file), flash it to your phone and you're back to normal.
God I hate angry birds, there's a million games just like it, most better, that came out years before it, and for some reason that game became famous and now all those other games are copies.
Ugh, I forgot that I don't have a proper camera, so I was stuck using my old phone. I'll see about getting a better video up tomorrow or something, but this thing absolutely sucks at recording. I still recorded one anyway if you want to see, but beware it's phone-quality at it's finest:

No, it's an entirely different version of Android, gets rid of MotoBlur and gives you a stock (and fully customizable) version of Android (Gingerbread even, which isn't out on the D2G yet).
I like it a lot better now that I'm able to run CyanogenMod 7 on it.

No, they really aren't synchronized at all.
I drove down a local street and the streetlights were completely forgeted. Like they literally switched off so that you stopped at every light. There was hardly any traffic.

It's all speculation guys. Stop assuming that just because they can take over the market they actually will. A few years ago Google patented some search technology they could have used to kill all other search engines, but that didn't happen. It actually probably wouldn't be in Apple's best interest to become a monopoly because then they have to operate under the regulation of a monopoly and risk anti-trust lawsuits.
And Apple has every right to patent something they invented.
