This is precisely why I don't believe there is a god.

Though you can't just ask for proof.

In my opinion, the belief that there is a god is an excuse for people to rely on. Since they want answers they make up something imaginary that can explain most everything. You can't just be safe or happy, the god must supply it for you. Funny thing is the nonbelieves have safety and happiness as well.

I don't know, I've never read the bible or paid attention in church. :I

Also this is most likely going to spark some heated debate.

I understand where you're coming from. I know I'm late but I'd also like to add that listening to music with a good beat or meaningful lyrics always used to help me out because it made me feel good knowing that I wasn't the only one going through the bullstuff in life. I found out that I had an extreme passion for music after my parent's divorce back in like 2004. It also feels good that there's people out there helping you express feelings you alone can't.

You could also try keeping a journal; it doesn't have to be often you write in it, just when the stress gets so built up that it's hard to bare.

I've been through a lot of life situations. If you ever want someone to talk to, you can send me a message on here and I'll get on MSN. I know we don't know each other well but I'll help if you need it.
