I would love to hear the real version now plz :cookieMonster:

As if this 'version' doesn't sound plausible?

I thought I made it up but apparently it was in Oblivion, and Battle star Galactica.

For some reason yours always makes me think of Van Halen. :P

Good to hear you're okay. I know I'd be startled as all hell. But in defense of the bad joke, I'm sure he was only trying to lighten the mood as humor can help people deal with an accident. I would have laughed and said "Well I just liked the view so much we had to pull over and look."

Thanks. :P

I guess he was, but we had literally just crashed, we were all still shaking.

The sheriff lightened up from his total douche mood from when he first arrived. First thing he said when he pulled up was "Who was driving?" It was so tempting to say, "Yeah, good day to you too, starfish!"

He lightened up later, and along came another joke, "That's got four-wheel-drive, right? Punch it in and away you go!" That one at least cracked a smile.

That's cracked.

So, my neighbor asked my sister and I if we wanted to go kayaking sometime, and neither me or my sister had ever gone before. We figured it would've been a fun experience so we agreed.

We went kayaking way out in the backwoods on some lake. There was a long, windy dirt road leading to it, I'd guess maybe five or six miles. We were coming back and our neighbor was driving. We came around a corner and on the left was a steep incline and on the right a steep drop off maybe thirty feet down. She was trying to stay on the right side because it was a straight stretch for maybe 1/8th mile and then a blind corner and she didn't want to have to be surprised if another vehicle came. She looked down for some reason and tilted the wheel ever so slightly and the front right tire went off the edge quickly followed by the rest of the SUV. We rolled twice down the hill and landed back on our wheels maybe forty feet away from the road. My window was completely shattered but luckily didn't break (much). There was a large indent in the windshield where a stick almost plowed it's way through. If it indeed would have, I might have been dead or at least suffered some head injury. My sister's window broke and glass went everywhere. Needless to say it was a scary ass experience.

The front fenders were destroyed, as were all the doors except the driver's. I was sitting in the passenger seat, by the way. Oddly enough none of the three kayaks were damaged. :P

We got out and stood on the road for a minute or two until a road grater came by and the driver of course had to make the hilarious line of, "Now, that's a bad place to park!" as if he were the king of comedy. He radioed his office since none of us had cell phone reception and then he left. It took maybe half an hour for the sheriff to show up, then another half an hour of questioning on the spot before he called the wrecker. Tack on 45 minutes for him to show, an hour for us to load up and get ready to leave and you, sir, have obtained an assload of mosquito bites.

All in all, fun, but scary ass day.

The damage isn't bad but it's everywhere so our neighbor thinks it's totaled. It's a 2002 Chevy Blazer and she got about 5,000$ on Bluebook and I don't even think she'll get it back.
