Maybe I've been playing too much Starcraft but you should always be building villagers.
10 People on a gold mine will only stimulate your economy.

10x50=500 food spent, when you could have one citizen work on a gold mine and still bring a lot of money.
I won't disregard your opinion, though.

That's why they're pushovers.
Real men build resource drop offs, and hero everything is just lame.

It's just them making an easy mode for people who need everything dumbed down.

But at least you don't need to make like 10 villagers to mine one gold mine.
