What are your character's personality traits?(Explain, in approximately a paragraph, your character's personality and mentality, and on why they possesses such a personality and mentality):
Roger “Gunny” McCarthy was ex. IRA mainly going in for covert operations to cripple the enemy. Mainly was varied on weapon preference, using shotgun or sniper over other weapons. Wasn’t afraid of any mission and would never back down unless he needed to. He worked best in a group of about three to four people. He was known to remember his friends and would always help a friend in need.

What is your character's broad backstory?(Please write approximately a paragraph concerning the key features of your character's backstory - What he/she did before the infection, what happened to them in the infection, how they got to Hillside Terrace):
Roger “Gunny” McCarthy was born in Bangor by the marina, 12th march, 1972. Father Shain was ex. IRA but tried to keep it quiet from his kid hoping he wouldn’t follow in his footsteps. Roger’s mother, Claire was divorced and had moved to Russia where he didn’t hear much from her. As he got older his relationship with his dad worsened; to forget about his time as IRA his father turned to drinking and was a drunk. Roger started to spend as much time away from the house as he could. By the age of 12 he had joined a recruitment for IRA of the future and was in the small things. Since the IRA got a lot of attention he was recruited as a messenger boy and a mule boy. By the age of 14 he was caught delivering illegal guns to the IRA and would be sentenced to jail.
Rogers mother soon found out and got him out of Ireland entirely and was then living with his mom. His mom wasn’t much better, he was stuck with the maid all day since his mom was always gone. Roger then missed the thrill he had as IRA so he went on to getting into a small time gang. There he was turned into a muscle man doing stuff such as raiding enemy gangs and persuasion. By the age of 16 he rose the ranks of the gang and had made friends with another kid named Benny. Benny helped him out and was his only real friend and was his piece to feeling like he belonged. They both later started their own gun business and by the age of 18 had a small time business. As he was doing his gun business he later became in contact with the IRA again.
He was then stuck with a big choice, stay in Russia or go back and fight for Ireland. Roger decided that friendship is great but he wanted to do his duty for his country and went to Ireland under the radar. So in Ireland he went back to fighting and had earned the nick name gunny. The name gunny was given to him by killing one of the Gunny sergeants of the enemy; killing 20 other soldiers in the process by himself since his other squad members retreated.
Just as he was getting used to fighting and working for the IRA he got an urgent message from his old friend Benny; Benny had a weapons deal in a place called Hillside terrace that turned out to be a military bust. He had crashed and said he couldn’t give away his position because the line might be tapped. So he faked his death in Ireland to be off the hook and going to Hillside. When he arrived in hillside he found something he would have never expected. Trying to find his old friend Benny and getting out this is Roger’s story…

Known for 4 grand theft auto, 5 robbery, 48 murders, 19 assault, 3 illegal weapons dealing 7 armed robberies. Roger was suspected of doing much more of this but the police didn’t have enough information to confirm it. He was also wanted by many ex. Soldiers and Russian gang members.
