The year is 2203, and combat on land has been revolutionized with the invention of the "Walker." The first Walker was created by Dr. Joshua J. Sherman and Dr. P. Alexander in the year 2114. They called it the "Robotic Weaponized Hydraulic Mechanism." (RWHM for short) This was later nicknamed the Walker.

The year is 2198 and you've been drafted to the UCF. (Universal Combatant Federation) You were sent to the planet Yurion in the Xaexis system. Your assignment was to protect the outskirts of the galaxy's main trading city from recent pirate attacks. You spent a grueling 11 months at the cold planet, in which time you almost lost your life three times. Afterward, you were sent to the lava-covered planet Faereis in the Sires system. As of now, it is the year 2199. You were unable to leave your post to celebrate the new century with loved ones, due to constant space-to-land raids by the Behemoth forces, who are now enemies of 7 major universal companies, including the UCF. You spent 2 years on the blazing hot plains that covered Faeries, much like land covered Earth before it was destroyed. When you finally left that horrid planet the year was 2201. You were relieved of your duties in the UCF. But you hadn't gotten enough. Not yet.

When you joined again you qualified for the special mercenary squadron known as "Sandstorm." For 2 years you fought side-by-side your comrades. You watched them die right before your eyes. The year is 2203 as of now. Your story takes place here, on the barren, desert-like planet of Saereis in the Tores system.

History:
Designed by the (Universal Institution of Technologies) this all-terrain, heavy duty mech stands at exactly 9'9". The COED series was originally designed to carry heavy loads through cold, ice covered terrain, the first model in the series was the COED-POW model, which came with a snow plow and heavy-duty treads by factory default. The COED series was later bought by ZenCo Inc. who modified the COED 9.0Turbo for military use. The COED 99 was born. ZenCo began selling these models for 425 zead each. They sold these units to military companies to pirates. They made a fortune. But, in the late 2000's the UFIW closed ZenCo down when they found out they were selling weapons to pirates and mercenaries. The COED series is no longer in production, but you can still buy them on the black market for 175 zead a piece.
