Man this thread sure is getting drowned out by the other topics. The BLF sure doesn't have many PC players.

I'll have to check out the new update after midterms. It's good to see they worked to add more variety to coaster supports, they often made things seem a bit unrealistic.

Did you remove events gui plus before testing this? It broke the whole thing when I tried last time.
Ya I made sure that was removed. The arrows and moving the events around all worked normally minus a few bugs.

not really because they're banned and all posts are now inaccessible to my knowledge, but i'd say the fact that they were banned for that reason is enough proof that it happened.

I'm sure the bans were justified, but this reasoning isn't going to get you anywhere with regards to Reddit. Spez has modified the content of conservative and alt-right people's posts before and other idiotic things, and thus has lost the trust and respect of a great deal of the Reddit community.

Every time I go to a brick's events I see a duplicate of the final line added.


Other things I've noticed so far: (Note that I'm using this mod with drop down search)
It often just straight up tells me the wrong set of events that are enabled (using toggleEventEnabled)
VCE_modVar doesn't auto fill in Brick, instead it appears empty (same thing with all outputs actually, e.g. setColorFx)
When using with drop down search, choosing named brick doesn't go straight to searching for a name
The Apply All button is gone, although maybe that wasn't default to begin with

Until these issues are fixed I'll just continue using EventsGUIPlus with DropDownSearch, it works well.

Edit 2: After further investigating, this mod caused an incredible number of events to break. Most notably all of my relay and toggleEventEnabled events became terribly broken, in some cases calling events on the wrong brick entirely. Removing System_Events made everything go back to normal, but my god that was a wild ride.

If you refer to it as <var:br:varname> then certainly you can use ifValue, because that is getting the VCE variable reference.

For example both of these would work the same:
onActivate > self > VCE_ifVariable > [varname] [==] [10]
onActivate > self > VCE_ifValue > [<var:br:varname>] [==] [10]
You could say ifVariable is just a shorthand version

You can test by disabling line 1 or line 2, both versions work.

i'm cool with vce in general but can someone explain to me what the difference between ifValue and ifVariable are

I was about to expand upon that.

Variables - variables made and stored by VCE
Values - game variables (like simTime) and named brick variables

So for example if you wanted to check a named bricks variable, you would do ifValue > [<var:nb_brickname:varname]

Basically variables are specifically stored to that brick locally with VCE, to my understanding
