Off Topic / Well stuff, I discovered my girlfriend has permanent depression

I got so much stuff going through my mind right now its so loving hard to think.

Here's the short story:
A couple of weeks after I met my girlfriend and became her "very special somepony" I noticed she had depression. I didn't think much of and though it would subside. The second time her depression it started to affect me, and I started to constantly listen to "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO and Smile Smile Smile to rid of my depression but it gets annoying after 6 hours of listening to it over and over. Well now I discovered she had permanent depression since she was 2 years old and she has been keeping it off using a stuffload of anti-depressants and 6 therapists.

Here's the problem, if she "looses me" I am afraid she will end up...well..."driving herself off of a cliff" if you know what I mean, but yet again I don't want to end off driving off a cliff myself either.

Seriously guys, I need some loving help and advice here. The endless depression is literally killing us both.

I am going on a date with my girlfriend this evening, and since I am going on a vacation a few weeks after; I won't see her for quite some time.
She says I am allowed to experiment with her, and I am allowed to touch her wherever I please.

Maps / Getting ready for v21 : Updated 3/17/2012

I don't know about those other sad map makers, but I am still going to make maps after v21.

Let me introduce some new maps I made specifically for v21:

Welcome to Blockland


This started as a mental image of what a land of blocks would look like. This is pretty much the fabulous result.
Includes my first custom made skybox.

Changes from v1 to v2:

• Removed grass foliage by request

A dry endless desert, absolutely no clouds whatsoever.
(The lens flare is actually a part of the map, load up a build and look at parts of your build from different angles with the flare visible. It looks quite nice.)

Freedom Plains

"A endless and smooth plain"

Freedom Plains, sadly a map that will be the forced successor of Freedom Fields. I decided to make a Freedom Fields slate version because of the complements on the skybox. Plus, it deserved to be converted out of all of my previous maps.

Take note of this:

Even though these maps are made for v21 they likely wont be v21-ready. Because of the new engine changes and the way maps will be made, don't be surprised if these maps don't work upon the release of the update.

This map was based off several dreams I've had. It was just me roaming around though, so nothing interesting except for the different weather conditions when I revisit this weird place in my dreams.

Off Topic / Using one headphone speaker as a microphone

So I have this here headphone speaker...

(If your wondering, the other one is broken. No input or output sound)
The one im holding is the left headphone speaker. Without a surprise, when I record using this headphone speaker and then listen to it I only hear from the left speaker, the right speaker is silent.

Is there any kind of software that can make the input sound coming from the left headphone speaker act as a left and right microphone?

Off Topic / I'm back after a failure of a motherboard

Finally glad to be back.

After my Gateway NV53's motherboard died (which can be seen here from the days it was working) I did not have a computer to get on Steam on onto the forums. Now one of the IT people that my mother knows gave me a computer (that is slow as stuff) I can now get back on again.

Current Specs:
Operating system: Windows XP (partition 1), Windows 2000 (partition 2)
HDD Capacity: 40 GB
Memory: 128 MB
Processor: Intel Celeron (1.40 GHz)

Anyway was there anything I missed while I was gone?
I did here about "prepper" and Blockland updating to v20.

EDIT: I forgot to add, I am using a eMachines T1440

Off Topic / Hesitating to upgrade processor

I used to blame my graphics card for the stuffty fps I had on all my games, that was when I figured out that my graphics card was actually good and the processor was to blame because of the number of applications I ran and the amount of AIs used in games.

What I have is an AMD Athlon M300 with 2.0Ghz...

Why I need a new processor:
Almost all the games I run that minimal requirements are below 2.0Ghz (ex. 1.7Ghz) and I have found some games I would like to play but with a low processor speed I cannot play them (Well I could, but the fps would be very choppy) because they are either 2.3Ghz or more.

Why im hesitating:
The computer I am using is a laptop computer which is a Gateway NV53, and because of Gateway's stuffty design decisions they made upgrading almost loving impossible. If I need to upgrade a processor I would need to disassemble the ENTIRE laptop (that includes the screen, keyboard, everything else) to reach the processor and if I mess up I have no contact with the internet so I would be %100 screwed. Also I do risk damaging my system.

Can't find one notebook processor on the market:
I have looked everywhere, Newegg, AMD, Tom's Hardware and none of them supply notebook processors. Where are you supposed to get them if they are not even on the manufacturer's website anyway?

Can't risk overclocking:
So far my average processor temperature when I am just browsing the internet is 86 °C, that's 186.8 °F which is loving hot. I can't imagine it getting hotter to the point of melting.

Should I risk it if I can afford it?

I was on Wikipedia when I stumbled onto this page and listened to the sound file near the bottom of the page. I heard my hard drive make the same loud noise about week ago, however I could still read and write files when it was clicking.

This hard drive is very important to me because it carries all of my data back from 2009 to present day that I cannot loose and I do not have backups for them and I don't have enough money to recover this data.

Is my hard drive about to die? :c
