You can use index.php has a html document. Simply open it and insert your <html></html> stuff and voila, a file with a .php extension is now being interpreted as a html document.

Otherwise, the USB connection is probably damaged to the point of non-functionality.I wouldn't say the data would be entirely gone.
There are services that will try to get your data back from dead disks, and sometimes they work.

Linux operating systems aren't meant to be used on a daily desktop-use basis.
Really the only people who do that are people who are too cheap to just buy a copy of Windows or think they're too cool for Windows, which is why you see so many of them.

it's a microsoft product. secure boot / UEFI, EEE and AARD code can suck my richard.
it uses the cpu clock instead of an on board clock. over/under clocking your cpu changes how fast or slow the os clock runs and that's terrible.
everything about the app store. literally everything.
it's so bad it drove valve away from windows and they even joined the linux foundation. seriously.
on topic:
kill everything HP- related because it's bloatware.
keep the synaptics stuff because that's touchpad related.
kill spotify because i've had weird focus issues with it in the past.
