I wanted to make something useful.
I guess you can try something like making a basic internal DNS server. It would require more effort though.

I was actually referencing to taking down the IRC servers. That.. would be near impossible, unless you could do one of these options.

1) Force all people to instantly stop using the IRC system at once
2) Hack their servers and force a sort of self destruct/shutdown
3) Somehow force them to shut their own servers down despite still being popular
Why would you even bother with the thought of taking down IRC servers? IRC is already dead, now that we have stuff like social networking, Steam, and Skype to communicate.
It would be beating a dead horse for no reason.

You can make an IRC client & server. It's small and simple if you know what you're doing and you have the protocol information.

And that's what's happening. The math is based directly on the width/height properties of each star, so it's doing what it's supposed to be doing, unless the stars themselves are being drawn with an incorrect size.
I was implying that perhaps the planet should move as well, being a foreground object.

I'm tired of this sitting idly in my projects folder.

I'm not going to work on the pony playertypes anymore, I've lost interest and what hope I had for it's release is gone.
Initially I was going to stash it away and work on it later when I had the time, but then Port came along and begged for the files so we could "work on it together". He lost "interest" 2 days as I gave it to him. I even requested that we continue to work on it, he didn't want to. It hasn't been worked on for a guesstimate of 3 months.

Instead of me keeping this to myself; I thought I might as well give it out instead of keeping it to myself forever.

Feel free to continue working on it if you'd like. You can even run this as an add-on as it is packaged correctly (but note that it's very unoptimized). The .blend models can be found in the "Models (Blender)" directory.

If someone requests this because they can't retrieve it here or some other reason; please give it to them.

or should it be the original mode, where it moved automatically to the right
Tbh, that parallaxing looks awful.

Usually you'd want the foreground objects to move faster than objects in the background/the background.
