Ahem, how can you make trapdoors out of redstone?

No, I believe it involves Torches, Sand, some redstone...and a Floor Button.
Try looking on youtube.

Also, I found out that Mobs will appear any time. Day or Night, Thay conly come out if it is a dark area. So you better have a loving bright base.
