CHAPTER ONE: Waking Up From the American Dream



GUNMAN 1: Freeze! Don't try anything stupid, pal!
INNOCENT 1: No! No! Someone hel---

*BLAM* *CHK CHK* *BLAM*

GUNMAN 1: Dumb gringo. Hey you! Get over here!
INNOCENT 2: Jesus H. Christ!
Footsteps are heard as the Innocent makes a break for it.
GUNMAN 2: He's running! GET HIM!

*BANG* *BANG*
A loud THUD sounds as a body hits the floor.



*BLAM* *BLAM* *BLAM*

INNOCENT 3: AAARRGH!
The sound of a body falling to the floor is heard.
INNOCENT 4: AIIIIEEE!
Another body falls to the floor.
INNOCENT 5: (Gasping for breath) Have.... Mercy....
GUNMAN 2: Hand it over!
INNOCENT 5: Just take it! Please stop this---
*BLAM* *SPLORT*
GUNMAN 3: We get what we came for, yet?
GUNMAN 4: This ain't it! Jamie and I will check this guy's room, both of you try the others!


Maximus Gran(YOU): Seven in the morning. A heavenly choir of screaming mixed with gunfire playing in the background wakes me up from a peaceful slumber.



Maximus Gran(YOU): The carelessness of these troublemakers hit me like a point blank shotgun blast. Whoever these chumps were, they certainly didn’t know the meaning of subtlety. Danger lurked outside the door to my apartment, fangs glistening in the dark. I had to be careful to avoid taking one in the head and meeting my maker.


(Quick note: Once Maximus Gran actually gets to see who the Gunmen are, they'll stop looking like this)

The GUNMEN outside start pounding on the door.

GUNMAN 4: Ey! Open up and put your hands where I can see em! Maybe I won't gun you down like the others, eh? Don't make me have to bust a door and a cap in your ass!

YOU are in your apartment bedroom. Outside the apartment bedroom is the rest of your room, followed by the entrance to it. The GUNMEN will eventually bust the door down.

The voices in your head once demanded for the assassination of various other people. Now the voices are demanding that you rob various other people.

TARGET #1: House belonging to a bunch of Mobsters
Level of Security: Mobsters with knives, improvised weapons, pistols, pump-action shotguns, and SMGs
Mobster Response(If Alarmed): Mobsters with body armor, assault rifles, revolvers, and semiautomatic shotguns

Police Response: (If Police Called): Police Officers with pistols, pump-action shotguns, semiautomatic rifles, pepper spray, tasers, and batons. Police will focus on arresting you unless you open fire on them.
Level 2 Police Response(If situation escalates): SWAT members with body armor, pepperball guns, SMGs, Rifles, beanbag/taser shotguns, tear gas, stingers, and flashbangs. SWAT will focus on arresting until you start shooting them.
Level 3 Police Response(If situation escalates even further): FBI Agents swarming the area. You're screwed.
Level 4 Police Response(If FBI agents slaughtered): National Guard called in with body armor, tanks, drones, and even more sheer numbers. They shoot to kill.

Other Info: The Mobsters inside appear to be partying, and thus distracted. There are a dozen or so Mobsters inside, and at least two Mobsters are outside the house.



Going in through the front door isn't going to be an option, as you don't have an invitation to the party. The Bouncer is also packing heat.



You also spot a guy in a car, ready to drive off to a nearby liquor store so he can fetch the drinks.



The right side of the house has a window you might be able to crawl into.



The back of the house has a door, but you don't know if anyone will be watching it.



QUICK RULES/THINGS TO KNOW
1) Some semblance of sanity in your posts, please. stuffposting and thread derailing to a minimum.
2) The Protagonist only dies if he runs out of BLOOD or health in the HEAD/TORSO areas. Losing all ARM/LEG health will merely cripple you.
3) If you decide to start suddenly gaining superpowers or summoning stuff, you're in for a world of hurt.
4) Carrying an entire arsenal on your back is suspicious, and may instigate hostility from others.

John McClass is the guy in the suit and hat. He is inconspicuously walking laps around the neighborhood while spying on the house, awaiting your orders.
The Bouncer is the guy at the front door. He won't let you in without an invite to the party, but perhaps you could change his mind some other way.
The Driver is leaving the party and fetching some drinks.

Help / Crashing during "loading addons" while starting a server.

Tried to get into hosting a server since it's Winter Break. Blockland keeps crashing during "loading add-ons" with the addons I have enabled now, even though it didn't before. A console.log is attached.

THE stuff AM I LOOKING AT?
Welcome to High Rollers! In the vein of Pass or Fail or BLOCKADE BLASTERS, Forumers will be placed in certain scenarios they have to resolve, like busting out of a Gulag or killing Bosses! Pretty much everything is determined by random numbers.
WHAT DO THE NUMBERS MEAN MASON?
Almost every action you perform is subject to a “12-sided dice”(Except it starts from zero to accommodate for spectacular failures). Higher numbers on a roll mean better success, while lower numbers mean how horribly you botched it. Other players can assist your rolls, which adds +2 to it. Beware, however, because rolling too high has lethal consequences!

Player Action Roll RNG(Rolls are 0-11 unless assisted)
0: Spectacular Failure With Injury and Chance of Death
1-2: forgetup With Injury
3-4: Minor Failure
5: Mixed Result (Pretty much nothing)
6-7: Slight Success
8-9: Success
10: Critical Success
11: Gone Horribly Right (Critical Success w/ Chance of Injury)
12: Really Pushing It (Critical Success w/ Injury and Chance of Death)
13: JESUS! (Critical Success w/ Instant Death)
Assisting adds +2 to a Roll and sacrifices your turn. Action Rolls are done for pretty much everything but reviving another dead player.
 
 
GLORY TO CHAOS
The Gods of Luck and Fate can occasionally roll to affect the scenario. For example, they can roll to make a enemy attack instakill a player, summon disasters, make it rain money, etc.
 
Health System
Every player has 6 HP that goes down as they take attacks or mess up a roll horribly, mangling themselves. You suffer no ill effects until you drop below 1 HP. You can get hammered by several dozen nuclear missiles to the face, survive, and then get offed because a flea bit you. Its kinda like that.
6 HP: Healthy
5 HP: Light Injury
4 HP: Wounded
3 HP: Badly Hurt
2 HP: Heavy Injury
1 HP: Near Death
0 HP: Incapacitated (Others can perform Medical Roll)
-1 HP: Dead (Others can perform Revival Roll)
-2 HP: Really Dead (Others can perform Revival Roll with lower success chance)
-3 HP: OVERKILLED (Others can perform Revival Roll with very low success chance)
-4 HP: GAME OVER (You can no longer be revived. You’re out..)
 
Medical/Revival Rolls
Going below 1 HP will take you out of the game temporarily. Players with less than 1 HP CANNOT roll to make actions(But they can post about begging for revival). Being Perma-Killed will take you out of the game permanently.
The more “Dead” the victim is, the harder the revival. Reviving a player also sacrifices your turn.
 
All revival rolls are 0-6 unless assisted.
 
0 HP: Incapped(0-6)
0: You forgeted up. Your victim is now Dead.
1: Victim is still incapped.
2: Revive them incompetently with 1 HP
3-4: Revive them half-decently with 2-3 HP
5: Competent revival. Heal up to 4 HP.
6: Heal up to 5 HP.
7: Heal up completely. Critical success.
8: You overdid it and goofed horribly. The victim is now Dead.

-1 HP: loving Dead (0-6)
0: You botched it horribly. Victim is Deader Than Disco.
1-2: Victim is now incapped.
3: Revive them incompetently with 1 HP.
4: Revive them half-decently with 2 HP.
5: Competent revival. Heal up to 3 HP
6: Heal up to 4 HP
7: Heal up to 5 HP. Critical success.
8: You overdid it and goofed horribly. The victim is now Deader Than Disco.

-2 HP: Deader Than Disco (0-6)
0: You forgeted up. Your victim has been OVERKILLED.
1-3: Victim is now incapped.
4: Revive them incompetently. Heal to 1 HP
5: Revive them half-decently. Heal up to 2 HP
6: Competent revival. Heal up to 3 HP
7: Heal up to 4 HP
8: Botch it up horribly and OVERKILL Your victim.

-3 HP: OVERKILLED (0-6)
0-4: Your target is still dead. A bit of mercy, since you can’t Perma-Kill if you forget up here.
5: Victim is now incapped.
6: Somehow manage to revive them with 1 HP.
7: Revive them with 2 HP. It’s the best you can do.
8: You horribly mangle their body and throw them out of the game with the ULTIMATE forgetUP

-4 HP: PERMAKILLED
0-6: Why even bother?
7-8: You gather enough pieces of the guy to give him a proper burial.

Anything else?
Somewhat obvious things to know before we start:
 
1) Overpowered actions like rolling to instantly win the game or rolling to instakill the boss with a heart attack are out. Don't even bother trying unless you want to spectacularly fail every single time.
2) No more than ONE person assisting/reviving someone else. You also cannot assist/revive someone and attack/do an action at the same time.

Off Topic / A code blue happened and then a mass evacuation at school

There was a random Code Blue declared somewhere around 11 PM at 4th Period, then eventually they announced to shelter in place and evacuate. Cops started evacuating everyone one classroom at a time, the police had a perimeter and the cops inside the campus were armed shotguns and rifles. I'm getting conflicting reports so far on why there was an evacuation, but its apparently either something about a suspicious white male on campus or a student hearing a serious threat. I finally got a ride home 1-2 hours after my classroom was evacuated.

On the bright side, school is cancelled and I don't have 4 tests/quizzes from my classes on the same day.

I've got an idea for a twist on your average deathmatch server, which is a gamemode where the player with the least points/score after X seconds(Customizable option for how many seconds if possible) is eliminated instantly. Players with the lowest score keep getting eliminated until there is only one guy left.

Q: What is this?
SHORT adventure about the Protag committing a deal with some other group of people.

Q: What are the rules/things to know?
1) No divine or supernatural intervention allowed in most cases. No summoning Satan, no suddenly finding a suit of Power Armor and a nuclear bomb, and so on.
2) Not all suggestions can be taken for various reasons.
3) You can carry an infinite number of weapons/items, but concealing them will be a challenge.

Here you are, standing in front of a warehouse swarming with mobsters ready to make a deal with their boss. Your orders are to simply walk in, deliver the money, take a package, and leave WITHOUT screwing it up. Knowing your luck, however, you'll screw things up anyway. Or someone else will screw you. Or maybe even the universe will screw you.

You are standing near the warehouse entrance. Two mobsters armed with bolt action rifles and lever action shotguns guard the door. One of them calls out to you.

"Ey! You comin in? Our boss is expectin' ya. Take the stairs to the third and make a right."

Off Topic / How the hell do I glue toothpicks vertically

I have to build an egg shield out of toothpicks for a Physics project. My plan is to make some sort of box for the egg.



How the hell do I glue a toothpick vertically and get the toothpick to stay up if it manages to stick? Even if the toothpick does stick, it eventually starts leaning before breaking off.

Here you are in the underground city of Genova. The voices in your head are telling you to go to the gang-owned Apartments in order to kill their leader.



The gang's Leader is all the way on the top floor.



You could enter through the front door, but the gangsters have the upper floors on lockdown and will not let anyone pass.



Looking to the side, you can also see another building with access to a pipeline leading to the top floor. This will leave you exposed to whoever looks out the windows, though.



You wait for the voices in your head to tell you what to do.

TARGET #1: Leader of a bunch of gangsters that wear pink and green
Level of Security: Unprofessional gangbangers.
Security Equipment: Knives, Glass Bottles, Pipes, Pistols, SMGs, Shotguns

Things to consider
1)A straight up fight will probably get you killed.
2)Generally, you can conceal an infinite amount of "smaller" items while bigger items(Rifles, massive anchors, etc) can't be concealed.
3)Some degree of stealth is recommended, and you'll probably need to cover up the murder so the cops don't come after you.
