Off Topic / Re: Hillary staged the pickle jar.
« on: September 16, 2016, 02:31:57 PM »
I love that they decided to use the pickle jar.

It isn't the fact that a pickle jar decides if a candidate is fit to run the country, no, that's dumb.

The point here was to try to show that she isn't in the process of dying. I mean, even if it were staged (which I could easily see it being), the point was that they wanted to show her doing something trivial for most people but also not exactly easy to do for a dying person at the same time. While they wanted to try to make it a seem as if she's healthy, they also didn't want to make the biggest deal out of it. It's like trying to break down a rumor by pretending said rumor is so dumb that it's funny. Which is where they attempted to take this. It's a 'joke', so they chose the pickle jar. Something she could manage without much trouble if she were healthy and also something easy to rig if she were sick.

If that makes sense the way I'm trying to explain it? I dunno, was worth a shot.

I don't like either of our candidates, but I think Hillary is probably not in the right health or the right mind-set to run this country.

Also, I was at 500 hours until they implemented BattlEye and in those 500 hours I've only seen like 3 hackers

I definitely am not close to that many hours, but I've seen too many hackers since the alpha testing days. As of BattlEye, I haven't seen any.

I need to add some of you guys on uPlay so I have people to play this with. Post your names here or something.

I'm decent at the game.

EDIT: also I was online the day BattlEye was welcomed into this game, and the constant string of ban messages was so goddamn pleasing to me. Like a beautiful cleansing that the hackers didn't even see coming. The game definitely took a good step with that move.

The alternate ending of "I Am Legend" was so much better than the original ending.

Yeah, higher frames' is much easier to feel when you're actually playing a game. Low frames feels like slight input lag. It's surprisingly easy to notice tiny amounts of input lag with low FPS.

Back on that "Movies with 24 FPS" bit.

It's also a lot harder to tell with movies because most frames in movies have motion blur on everything moving. So, 24 FPS with the level of motion blur that movies have makes it much smoother to watch.

Can't remember where I read that, but it makes sense to me.

On topic, though, kinda glad I didn't pre-order. I'll buy it if they ever fix it, for sure. For now, though, I'm content to let the PS4 people have their fun. I'll just watch them.

according to the mayans, the world has only -4 years left

I read somewhere that apparently the calendar was interpreted incorrectly or something, resulting in the end of the calendar being roughly 4 years behind when it actually ended. Or something like that.

So, apparently the "2012 world ending" thing is actually scheduled for this year. Don't quote me on this, it's really vague and I barely remember reading it. I'll try to find that article.

So I'm getting a new graphics card tomorrow when my paycheck comes in. My budget is about $250 max, but I mean, I'd prefer to spend under $200. Now, the only real reason I am upgrading is so that I can run Dishonored 2 when that releases, and I just want something that can most likely run that well. I have no idea how intensive that will be, but it wouldn't have to be at max settings. I can run Dishonored 1 at max at the moment.

Anyone have any GPU suggestions (preferably from Newegg) that would be able to run Dishonored 2 well at least, and doesn't pass $250 or so? If you guys help me out with this, I might do a giveaway for the free copy of Dishonored 1 + all the DLC that comes with a Dishonored 2 preorder for the people that helped the most in the drawing.

Oh. Oh dang, I had just gotten home when I posted that. This is embarrassing. Kill me.

I was not aware that the sale was already over. Oops.

Games / Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer
« on: July 02, 2016, 10:52:49 AM »
Scrap Mechanic's a pretty cool little game, but no one on my friends list ever plays it so I have no one to make cool stuff with. If you play the game and want to try it sometime on multiplayer, leave your steam here and maybe I'll add you and whatnot.
